Pillar of Light - an original poem by Hunter Summerhays
A boy once wandered, burdened and torn,
Seeking truth in the light of morn.
Confusion swirled, his heart weighed down,
Yet faith within still held its ground.
He knelt upon the forest floor,
And raised his voice to Heaven’s door.
Darkness pressed with fear and doubt,
Yet God’s pure light soon cast it out.
A pillar bright, more pure than day,
Descended where young Joseph lay.
The Father spoke, the Son was near,
And truth was given, bold and clear.
As he once knelt, so must we,
In times of doubt or misery.
When shadows press and trials grow,
Let us seek our own sacred grove.
No grove too small, no place too bare,
For Heaven hears a humble prayer.
A whispered plea, a heart poured wide,
Brings light where darkness seeks to hide.
So when you falter, lost, alone,
Remember truth that has been shown.
The Lord still speaks, His love still near
Kneel in faith, and He will hear.
