Our Story

Here at The Well, we invite women and agencies to help empower an individual's mind, body, and soul. Enabling them to take over their lives by helping them progress in society. The Well has established classes to promote confidence, awareness, stability, and empowerment. Empowerment is a set of measures designed to increase the degree of autonomy and self-determination in people in our communities. We enable them to represent their interests in a responsible and self-determined way, acting on their authority who have suffered the results of Life's Challenges. Women who are not connected to a church body are battling life’s challenges without a valuable resource which could direct them to various situations. Without the knowledge of all the professional or area agencies, some individuals remain locked in their life challenges. Agencies in the community are more than willing to help with people’s Life Challenge. Well’s vision is to restore people's lives mentally, physically, and spiritually. To believe in the Lord and that the Lord is a forgiving God that there is a second chance to make things better. To renew people’s life to gain Christ as their savior. Empowerment as action refers to not only the process but giving them the power to make life choices for the better. This enables them to overcome their sense of powerlessness, frustration, lack of influence, and to recognize peace. Helping individuals understand that we all have life challenges but it’s up to each one to get out of their situation. These techniques help influence the individual to make better life choices, as they learn about Christ their hearts expand and their soul awakens to its full power. Women empowerment is granting women the freedom to make the required life choices for themselves. For example: If a girl is not provided adequate nutrition during childhood, it affects that child as it grows into adulthood has prolonged consequences which can drastically change their health. Poverty is not only a threat to the women population but also a significant issue within the whole community. It is high time that we take this challenge seriously to make the world a better place for women. We believe that through the loving environment which we provide, women will be drawn to a stronger and more meaningful walk with the Lord. The Well is Non-Denominational. One of The Well’s primary goal is to provide a bridge between women in the Permian Basin and the Healing Love of Christ.
