Prayer of the Month
This month, when you face different trials and challenges, ask God to reveal what He wants to teach you through them. Every storm has a purpose, and every difficulty is an opportunity to grow stronger in faith and trust in Him.

Make a commitment to spend time in God’s Word each day. As you read the Bible and seek Him in prayer, God will guide your steps, strengthen your heart, and lead you through every storm you encounter.

Verse of the Month
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

No Arms – No Legs
But Full of Purpose
Nick Vujicic was born without arms and without legs, but it hasn't kept him from swimming, skydiving, surfing, snorkeling, and playing soccer. (I would encourage you to watch his videos on YouTube.)

He has one small, partial foot – with two toes - which were originally fused. An operation was performed to separate the toes so that he could use them as fingers. Nick refers to this foot as his “chicken drumstick.” This partial foot is the tool he uses to walk, jump, write, type, participate in sports, and perform daily tasks.

He travels the world telling his story, and telling people about Jesus. He was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1982, with a rare condition called “tetra-amelia syndrome,” and, I doubt that any of us can even imagine the challenges he faces every day.

His dad was a pastor, and Nick said that he learned about Jesus every day – whether it was a verse for the day, or encouragement from his family. He also said that, in 1989, he was the first disabled child to be integrated into the education system in his community, and that his mom had to go to the educational court to fight for that school experience. As a kid, he wondered if his life was valuable at all, and the first few years at school were extremely rough – but, eventually, going to school turned out to be a good experience for him.

“Especially at school – it was hard to believe that God loved me like He loved everyone else; and the question was: 'Why does a loving God allow us to go through suffering? What purpose could I possibly have? If God loves me, and I have faith in His power – why doesn't He give me a miracle?'”

Nick said, “I had no idea that God could use my broken pieces and actually make something beautiful in His timing.” In the middle of his extreme suffering, he started to understand that God could give him a fulfilling life and use him – even if it didn't involve a miracle that gave him arms and legs.

In high school, a janitor pointed out to Nick that he has an amazing ability to communicate and connect with others. This statement was an encouragement to Nick, and is part of the inspiration he needed to begin his speaking ministry.

Nick says that he read the story of the blind man in John 9, and realized that, “If God has a plan for a blindman - God's got a plan for me, too.”

He started to realize that he could either be angry about what he DIDN'T have – or he could be thankful for the life he DID have. He also said that he struggled for years to make sense of his disability, but he also remembered that Jeremiah 29:11 says that God has a plan for the future.

He attended high school in Queensland, and began to excel academically and socially. After that, he attended Greenland University where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in accounting and financial planning.

Nick explains that God uses his rare situation to bless others, and to help them understand that God's love can bring purpose into every
difficult situation.

He says that he has learned to live with his condition, and that he is even thankful for it – because it has given him a unique opportunity to share
the Gospel.

When speaking to groups, Nick also reminds them that Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Nick says, “Just because you're a Christian - doesn't mean that you have an easy life without struggles. There's not a greater way to share the joy and strength of God – than in your weakness. It's in our weakness that God perfects His strength in us. I look weak – but people look at my face and they see that I'm strong. They think, 'Hey, wait a second. What's different about you?' It's the richness of knowing that your Father in heaven owns everything. He'll provide for you in every way, shape, and form. He knows the desires of your heart, and His grace is enough.”

Peace - Purpose - Eternal Life
To say that Nick is inspiring – is a huge understatement! One of his well-known quotes is: “More than arms and legs - I want Peace; More than arms and legs - I want Purpose; More than arms and legs - I want Eternal Life; More than arms and legs - I want Jesus.”

That's the message he shares in all sorts of venues. He says, “Whoever you are, and whatever your situation – all you need is Jesus. It's not about Nick. It's about Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.”

He is a gifted speaker, and he also influences people with his books – such as Life Without Limits: (Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life,) Unstoppable, and Standing Strong. Nick has shared more than 3,500 speeches across 78 countries - touching the lives of over 10 million people in person - along with an estimated 2.8 billion people through media – per The Christian Post.

Someone has said that Nick's story isn't just a feel-good tale about overcoming adversity. It's a story about how meaning can be built into the very places where life seems to have fallen apart.

Not only has he survived the odds placed against him – he has turned survival into service – a powerful testimony of what God can do when we glorify Him with our lives. Nick got married in 2012, and he and his wife have four children – two boys and twin girls.

Nick says, “I am blessed to say that you don't need arms or legs to stand in front of the gates of hell and redirect traffic.”

Nick is correct. We all have challenges, and even though our stories may not seem as dramatic as his – each of us can use our own experiences to share the life-changing Gospel with people around us.

Sometimes, our difficult circumstances put us flat on our faces before God – forcing us to communicate with Him and depend on Him in ways we never would have done if our lives were always smooth sailing. When we trust God in the middle of our problems, it's a clear message to the people around us who have never experienced His grace, His forgiveness, His mercy, or His power.

We're thankful that God is attentive to us, and that we have the Bible as His guide for our lives.

Nick Vujicic's story is a powerful example and reminder of the reason that we were put on this earth in the first place – to glorify God; but glorifying God is only possible if we repent of our sins and follow Christ.

***Note: A movie about Nick Vujicic's life - No Limbs, No Limits - The Nick V Story will come to theaters nationwide – on September 25, 2026. It tells his story of struggle and triumph…as he has become a powerful influence for Christ – impacting people all over the world.

Verse of the month:

1 John 1:5

“This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.”

This verse is a powerful declaration of who God is at His very core. When the Bible says that God is Light, it is not just describing something God possesses—it is describing His very nature. Light represents purity, truth, holiness, and life. It reveals what is hidden, exposes what is wrong, and guides us in the right direction. In contrast, darkness represents sin, deception, confusion, and separation from God.

To say that “in Him there is no darkness at all” means that God is completely and perfectly holy. There is no sin, no evil, no corruption, no hidden flaw in Him—ever. He is fully trustworthy, completely righteous, and absolutely pure. Unlike people, who can struggle with mixed motives or hidden sin, God is entirely consistent in His goodness and truth.

This verse also reminds us that the message about God is not something invented by man—it is something that has been “heard from Him” and faithfully passed on. It carries authority because it comes directly from God Himself.

But this truth is not just meant to inform us—it is meant to transform us. If God is Light, then those who follow Him are called to walk in that Light. That means living in honesty, turning away from sin, and allowing God’s truth to shine into every area of our lives. Light exposes what is hidden, so walking with God often involves conviction and change—but it also brings freedom, clarity, and peace.

When we come into God’s Light, we no longer have to live in spiritual darkness—confused, burdened, or separated. Instead, we experience forgiveness, guidance, and a restored relationship with Him. His Light shows us the way forward and gives us hope.

In summary, this verse declares:

God is perfectly holy and pure
There is no sin or evil in Him at all
He is the source of truth and life
His Light reveals, guides, and transforms us
We are called to walk in His Light and reflect it to others

Prayer Reflection:

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being a God of perfect Light—pure, holy, and true. Shine Your Light into every part of my life. Expose anything that does not please You, and give me the strength to walk in truth and righteousness. Help me to reflect Your Light to others so they may see Your goodness and come to know You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer Request for April 2026
In these challenging and uncertain times, we are reminded more than ever of our need to turn to God. Let this be a month where we intentionally seek His presence, asking Him to move powerfully in every area of our lives—our families, our homes, our work, and our communities.

Let us also lift up in prayer those who lead us at the local, state, and national levels. Pray that God grants them wisdom, discernment, integrity, and a heart to serve rightly. Even in moments of uncertainty, we trust that God is still in control.

Be encouraged by this truth: the God who is with us on the mountaintop is the same God who walks with us through the valleys. He does not change, and He does not abandon His people.
Scripture reminds us that God hears and answers the prayers of those who earnestly seek Him and align their hearts with His will. Let us come together in faith, believing that He is at work even when we cannot yet see it.

May this be a month filled with prayer, hope, and renewed trust in the Lord.

Have a blessed and faith-filled month,
Pastor Andrew

Verse of the month:

Matthew 6:9 – 13
Pray, then, in this way Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

In this powerful passage, often called The Lord’s Prayer, Jesus gives us more than just words to repeat—He provides a model for approaching God with the right heart, priorities, and perspective.

“Our Father, who is in heaven…”
From the beginning, we are reminded of our relationship with God. He is not distant or unreachable—He is our Father. This speaks of love, care, provision, and authority. At the same time, “in heaven” reminds us of His holiness and sovereignty. We come to Him with both intimacy and reverence.

“Hallowed be Your name.”
To “hallow” means to honor as holy. This is a call to worship—to recognize God’s name, His character, and His nature as sacred and worthy of all praise. Before we ask for anything, we acknowledge who He is.

“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
This shifts our focus from our plans to God’s purpose. It is a surrender of our desires, asking that His perfect will would take priority in our lives and in the world around us. It’s a prayer of alignment—choosing His way over our own.

“Give us this day our daily bread.”
Here, we are reminded to depend on God daily. “Daily bread” represents not only physical provision like food, but also spiritual nourishment, strength, peace, and everything we need to live. It teaches us trust—not worrying about tomorrow, but believing God will provide today.

“And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”
This speaks to the condition of our hearts. We all fall short and need God’s forgiveness, but we are also called to extend that same grace to others. Unforgiveness can weigh us down, but forgiveness brings freedom. This is a call to live with humility, mercy, and compassion.

“And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
This is a prayer for protection and guidance. We acknowledge our weakness and ask God to help us avoid situations that could lead us into sin. At the same time, we trust Him to rescue us from the traps and attacks of the enemy.

Overall Meaning: This prayer is a blueprint for a life centered on God. It teaches us to:

Begin with worship.

This prayer is a blueprint for a life centered on God. It teaches us to: Begin with worship. Seek God’s will above our own. Trust Him for our needs. Walk in forgiveness. Depend on Him for strength and protection.

It is not just something to say—it is something to live. As you reflect on this verse throughout the month, let it shape your daily prayers. Let it guide your thoughts, your decisions, and your relationship with God. When prayed sincerely, it draws us closer to Him and aligns our hearts with His.

May your prayer life deepen, your faith grows stronger, and your trust in God becomes unwavering this month. Seek God’s will above your own.

Prayer for March 2026
This month, make it your prayer to truly seek God’s will for your life. Life is full of unexpected turns, unanswered questions, and moments that stretch our faith—but none of it takes God by surprise. Make a daily commitment to read your Bible. God will speak to you and provide the guidance and answers you need through His Word.

Verse of the Month
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though something strange were happening to you. 1 Peter 4:12

Surprises
Surprises are a part of life. They appear at birthdays and anniversaries, and they enrich friendships. Kids love them at Christmastime. Parents expect that there will be surprises as they are raising their children. Coaches use surprise tactics, and politicians try to manage surprises to their advantage.

Surprises. We love ‘em, and we hate ‘em. Here are some things that could illustrate
both reactions:

“The alarm didn’t go off. I overslept by two hours.”
“Dr. Brown would like to discuss your X-rays right away.”
“Congratulations! You got a promotion with an increase in salary.”
“We’ve been on the wrong road for over an hour.”
“Good news! The tumor that we suspected to be malignant - is actually benign.”
“Class, take out a piece of paper. It’s pop quiz time.”
“The obstetrician heard three heartbeats today.”
“It looks like you need a new transmission in this car.”
“Sweetie, that wasn’t leftover stew. It was Alpo.”
“Did you know the bathroom scale is measuring ten pounds heavier than it should?”
“Mom…Dad…Byron wants to marry me.”

The highs and lows of our lives are often triggered by surprises. Sometimes, within split seconds, we are getting teary-eyed or laughing like crazy.

Surprises in the Bible
The Bible is full of surprises. Like…when Noah’s neighbors first realized that it was sprinkling. - When Sarah realized that the angel wasn’t kidding, and that she was pregnant at 90 years old. - When Moses heard words from a bush that wouldn’t stop burning. - When manna first fell from the sky. - When a small young man named David defeated the enormous and scary Goliath. - When a woman from Samaria met a Jewish Stranger who told her that he knew all of her secrets. - When the only perfect One who ever lived – was nailed to a criminal’s cross, and came back to life after three days. When Jesus came back to life…most of the people of that time were definitely surprised.

He Isn’t Dead
A missionary and his friend were once watching a huge, religious parade in India. The people of India said that a bone of Buddha had been found, and they were parading it through the city with enormous excitement. Thousands of people were bowing before the “sacred” bone. The missionary turned to his friend and said, “What striking evidence this is - of the difference between our two beliefs. If any part of the body of Jesus was to be found…it wouldn’t cause celebration – but unbelievable sorrow, because it would show that He had not risen from the dead.”

We will be celebrating the Resurrection very soon, but – even though we can trust the Bible and the eye-witness accounts of the death and resurrection of Jesus – there are still many people today who do not believe it.

Since nobody knows when it will happen - the return of Jesus to this earth will be the greatest surprise of all. “In a moment…in the twinkling of an eye…like a thief in the night.” We’ve got to be ready!

Shelter When Discouraged
As we reflect on the death and resurrection of Jesus, we want to be aware of the people around us who aren’t sure about where they will spend eternity.

This can cause confusion, uncertainty, and a general sense of discouragement and hopelessness. These people don’t have a place to go when the bottom drops out of their lives. We all need a place to go when we are discouraged and overwhelmed. As followers of Christ, our ultimate source of comfort is God, but people without Him usually gravitate to things that are not a permanent solution to their discouragement.

The neighborhood bar is a popular counterfeit to the fellowship and shelter that Christ wants to give His followers. It’s an imitation – dispensing liquor instead of grace, and temporary escape – rather than reality. It’s permissive and unshockable. People in bars usually exchange secrets, and trust each other to keep those secrets to themselves. I don’t think the bars are thriving because most people are alcoholics, but because God has put into the human heart – the desire to be known and loved and accepted. Many people look for that listening ear, and that acceptance for the price of a few drinks.

I believe that Christ wants his church to be a place where people can come and say, “I’m sunk! I’ve had it. I need help.”

For All of Us
What do we do when our circumstances are difficult and life seems overwhelming? When we are discouraged, we don’t need critics. We’re already hurting enough. We don’t need more guilt. We need shelter. We need someone to listen. We need someone who understands. We need encouragement.

The God of creation, and the One who provides salvation for us – when we can’t do anything to deserve it or earn it - is the One who can provide that shelter for us. In the Bible, David had huge problems and enemies, but when he was overwhelmed and depressed, he prayed to God…calling Him: “My Rock. My Fortress. My Deliverer. My Refuge. My Savior.”(2 Samuel 22:1- 4)

In the middle of his overwhelming problems, David took shelter in God - and experienced supernatural comfort.

This same God is available to us. We have His Word at our fingertips.

There are no bones to be found. He is Risen!

Prayer Request for February 2026
This month, take time to pray and sincerely ask God to reveal the areas of your life He desires to shape and refine. Invite Him to bring growth, change, and renewal so that you may become a stronger Christian and a clearer witness to those around you. As others observe the transformation in your words, actions, and daily choices, may they see Christ reflected in your life.

Commit to reading your Bible every day. God’s Word is the clearest way to know His will, to gain wisdom and direction, and to understand His purpose for your life. Through Scripture, He provides guidance, encouragement, and the answers we need for each step of our journey.

With gratitude,
Pastor Andrew

Verse of the month:

Philippians 4:19
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

This verse is a powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness and His limitless provision. When Paul wrote these words, he was not speaking from a place of comfort or abundance—he was writing from prison. Yet even in hardship, Paul confidently affirmed that God is able and willing to meet every true need of His people.

Notice that the verse says God will supply all your needs, not necessarily all your wants. God knows the difference. His provision includes not only material necessities but also spiritual strength, peace in times of anxiety, wisdom in moments of uncertainty, and hope when circumstances feel overwhelming. What we may lack in the moment, God supplies in the way and timing that is best for us.

Paul also emphasizes that God’s provision comes “according to His riches in glory.” This means God does not give sparingly or out of limitation. He gives out of His infinite abundance. His resources are never depleted, never strained, and never dependent on the economy of this world. What He provides is rooted in His glory—perfect, eternal, and sufficient.

Finally, this promise is fulfilled “in Christ Jesus.” Our relationship with God through Christ is the foundation of this assurance. Because of Jesus, we have access to God’s grace, provision, and care. Every blessing—spiritual and physical—flows from our union with Christ.

Philippians 4:19 encourages believers to trust God fully, even when circumstances suggest otherwise. It calls us to rely on Him, confident that He sees our needs, cares deeply for us, and will provide exactly what we need to walk faithfully with Him—now and always.

Prayer Request for January 2026

As we begin this new year, we ask that you take time to seek the Lord in prayer and invite Him to search your heart. Ask God to reveal anything in your life that needs healing, surrender, or change in the year ahead. Perhaps unforgiveness has taken root because of past hurts, dissatisfaction, discouragement in your work, or burdens you’ve been carrying alone. There is no area of our lives too small or too broken for God to restore when we bring it to Him in prayer.

Please also pray for the Mission:
We are asking God to send more people to serve faithfully in our current programs, and to provide wisdom, resources, and willing hearts as we prepare to launch new programs that will further reach and impact those in need. Pray for strength, unity, and renewed vision for everyone serving at the Mission.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer and partnership. Your prayers and support make a real difference—strengthening the Mission's work and encouraging the hearts of those who serve.

With gratitude,
Pastor Andrew

Verse of the Month: Psalm 139:23

“Search me, God, and know my heart; put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts.”

This verse is a humble and courageous prayer of surrender. David is inviting God to look beyond outward appearances and examine the deepest parts of his heart—his motives, desires, fears, and struggles. Rather than hiding his weaknesses or anxieties, he opens himself fully before the Lord, trusting that God’s knowledge is both perfect and loving.

When David asks God to “search” him, he is acknowledging that God already sees everything, yet he willingly submits to that divine examination. It is a prayer that says, “Lord, show me what I cannot see in myself.” This includes hidden sins, unhealthy attitudes, unresolved wounds, or misplaced priorities that may be affecting one’s relationship with God and others.

The phrase “know my anxious thoughts” reminds us that God cares not only about our actions but also about our inner turmoil—our worries, fears, and uncertainties. God does not dismiss anxiety; He invites us to bring it into His presence. By asking God to “put me to the test,” David is allowing God to refine him, much like fire refines gold, removing what does not belong and strengthening what remains.

This verse challenges believers to practice honest self-examination before God. It encourages a posture of openness, repentance, and trust, recognizing that God’s correction is not meant to condemn but to heal, guide, and transform. When we pray this verse sincerely, we are asking God to align our hearts with His will, replace anxiety with peace, and lead us into a life that honors Him.

Ultimately, Psalm 139:23 teaches us that spiritual growth begins with humility—inviting God to search us, know us fully, and lovingly shape us into who He created us to be.

Prayer for December 2025
This month, we ask you to lift up family members, friends, and coworkers who have not yet come to know Jesus as their Savior.
Pray that their hearts would be opened to the true meaning of Christmas. Also, ask God to work through your life and your
words so that His love is clearly seen and draws them to receive Him.

A Word From Our Director, Pastor Andrew

A Godly Legacy

During this Christmas season, I’m hoping to encourage you to leave a godly legacy for the ones you love. Our childhood memories of this season - often leave lasting impressions and I hope, as you participate in all the festivities that surround the Christmas season, that you will be intentional about creating an atmosphere in your home which emphasizes our Savior.

The Biblical Truth that my parents taught me, and the memories that we made, have been engraved in my mind since childhood.

I grew up in Argentina, in a family of nine children – plus my parents. Our home was always filled with activity and visitors. There were many visits from missionaries and friends from church – not to mention the friends of my older brothers and sisters. My memories are ones of peace, love, caring, nurturing, and – oh yes – loving discipline.

During the month of December, there was a lot of anticipation for the actual day – Christmas Day. When Christmas Eve finally came, we had to exercise lots of patience, while waiting for Christmas morning – when opening presents would be the main event.

Oddly enough, my fondest memories come from those Christmas Eves, when Dad would read the Christmas story from Luke 2. After he finished the story of Jesus’ birth, we would pray – and then, as a family, we would all sing “Silent Night.”

To this day, I get emotional when I hear this song. I remember what a beautiful, warm, and loving moment it was – when our family sat together in the living room – with dimly lit lights – singing about the birth of Jesus. My Mom and Dad were intentional about directing our thoughts to the true meaning of our Christmas celebration: Our Savior entered our world, died for our sins, came to life again, and returned to heaven to prepare a place for those who will admit their sins, repent, and trust Him.

On Christmas morning, all nine of us would line up outside our parents’ bedroom, knock on the door of a very tired Mom and Dad, and go in to kiss them and wish them a “Merry Christmas.”

Then, we would all line up again outside the living room door, and wait for our parents to show up – so we could go inside to see what Santa (or “Father Christmas,” as my Mom called him) had brought.

One important part of our Christmas celebration was – that my parents would buy candy for the less fortunate in the neighborhood. They didn’t just TALK to us about helping others – they SHOWED us – in a practical way, that it’s more blessed to give than
to receive.

My parents have been gone for many years, but their legacy lives on in my heart, and I’ll always cherish these memories and the
Biblical Truth which they taught me. The peace in life comes from embracing Truth!

I’m sharing these memories from my childhood to remind you that you don’t need a lot of money or lots of gifts in order to make a lasting impression on your children or your loved ones at Christmastime.

Are You Going to Heaven?

The most important thing in life is your relationship with Jesus Christ – the reason we celebrate Christmas. We were created to
glorify Him!

What will happen to you when you die? What legacy are you leaving for your loved ones?

First of all: Do you KNOW and BELIEVE the truths in the Bible? Then: Are you teaching your family the Truth from God’s Word and, more importantly, do they see you LIVING in a way that reflects that Truth?

Jesus came to earth in the form of a baby, lived a sinless life, died a horrific death – which paid for my sins - and then, He came to life again. He returned to heaven to prepare the place where I will spend eternity with Him – and the others I love, who have gone to heaven ahead of me.

God loves us so much that He turned His back on Jesus at the crucifixion. Even though God could have stopped the crucifixion, He chose not to stop it. Do you know why? It’s because – through His death, Jesus took the penalty of our sins, to SAVE us from eternity in hell. Jesus is the One and Only sacrifice that can wash our sins away and make us clean. It’s an overwhelming love!

If you’ve never received this free gift of salvation…Why don’t you take the step right now – to accept His gift that saves you from hell and separation from God?

It’s not enough to just believe that Jesus came to earth. (Even the devil believes that Jesus came to earth.) You can pause right now and say: “God, I realize that I have sinned against You, and I’m sorry. Please forgive me of ALL my sins. I believe that Jesus died in my place – and that His death was the payment for all of my sins. I open my life to You, so that You will make me clean in your eyes. I want to trust You to help me change my sinful habits. Make me new. I want to live according to the instructions you have given in the Bible. Thank you for your promise of eternal life for all of us who repent and believe.”

As you read your Bible - read it with a sensitive, obedient spirit – and God will speak to you. We’re not perfect – but we’re forgiven, and if we follow His instructions in the Bible – we’ll have the tools we need to live pure lives. If you made the decision to be a follower of Jesus, please send us a note to let us know about your decision.

I hope you have a meaningful Christmas season!
