“God Still Reigns”

The wicked may build these temporary places in their lives when they come to accumulate wealth, and appear to be untouchable for a season, but no throne established against God will stand forever. Even when a ministry is built on false teaching, manipulation, and control will rise and fall as human power fades. The earthly influence they once had will vanish like a v***r. Even when it looks like prosperity, it doesn't last forever, as this influence they have comes with an expiration date.

Yet those who belong to God and keep His Laws possess something no oppressor can steal, no government can revoke, and no enemy can destroy, and that is an eternal inheritance in Christ. The righteous who build their lives on a foundation laid by God cannot be shaken. Because the righteous do not place their hope in what is temporary, they place their hope in God who reigns forever.

"Leave the Past, Trust the Promise"

Many of us today spend our lives trapped between what happened with yesterday's mistakes and tomorrow's uncertainties. They often carry old wounds, past failures, disappointments, regrets, and unanswered questions as if those things define our future. But God never intended for our past to be our prison. He intended it to be our testimony. Many of our greatest struggles begin when we try to accomplish God's will in our own strength.

Just like the people of Israel wanted a king because they desired to be like other nations around them. They rejected God's leadership and demanded their own way. God allowed them to have Saul, yet even after receiving what they wanted, they were still dissatisfied. This is when we begin to question God's timing, resisting His direction, pursuing our own plans, and then wonder why we are left empty when our way fails to satisfy.

"Faith and Betrayal"

If we live long enough, we will or have been betrayed. However, it should not be a surprise, as it teaches us something very powerful and moving: regardless of how hard the world presses, when the end feels near, the safest place to be is not in control but having this connection with God. When our final hour comes, may we be found where Jesus was found Himself, closer to God, surrounded by love, and resting in the promise that death is not the end, but the doorway into everlasting life. And that is why we must be careful not to confuse familiarity with faithfulness.

There is something deeply troubling and deeply painful about discovering that the people who think they know us best may not always understand the weight we are carrying. Not everyone who says, “I’ve got your back,” will still be standing there when our world turns upside down. Some people are close enough to know our names, but not committed enough to help carry our burdens. Even when they know our history, they do not understand our hearts. Because they can recognize our face, but still fail to recognize our pain.

Understanding what it means to live a godly life is not built on hiding, boasting, or self-promotion; it is built on transparency, humility, and encouragement. Paul speaks about not seeking applause, the spotlight, and thinking that our position is a true sign of strength when others are watching us. The true measure of a person is not how many people know our name, but how people are encouraged by our walk and living in the right way. We must live open, walk humbly, and lift others when they are down.

When we begin to lose sight of why we are in certain positions, we start making decisions based on what suits us and our immediate family members, rather than others. What we must learn that our spiritual maturity does not hide in concealment or thrive on confusion. It causes us to continue walking in honesty, clarity, and purpose. When our hearts are right, here is where transparency builds trust; integrity removes suspicion, and clarity removes motives that create peace.

Truly understanding by trusting in God, as He already made this promise long before we ever changed our ways. Eternal life is not something we earn; it is a gift we receive on behalf of Christ. Yet the battles we face are not about knowing the promise but choosing it daily over the distractions, desires, and deceptions of this world. If we are not careful, the enemy will offer up what might look good, feel good, and seem almost right, but only God offers what is right and leads to the true victory, which is not found in our own strength but in our surrender through Christ. We are not powerless against temptation; we are empowered to overcome it.

The truth is, temptation in our lives rarely looks like destruction at first. It often appears to be convenience, comfort, or control. A small compromise here that seems harmless in the moment, but slowly shapes our hearts away from God. Over time, small choices can lead to spiritual drift. So, we are reminded to allow God to continue guiding us when our flesh feels weak and when we are willing to fall into sin.

God is our true hope and strength and provides us with a better future. He redeemed our past and sustains us as we move into that place where He needs us. It is about not placing our trust in our money or possessions, but in God's unchanging love and faithfulness toward us. It has been this quiet lie, repeated over and over, that promises us security, happiness, and control when it comes to having enough money and things; they will truly satisfy us completely.

Yet money itself isn’t the problem; it’s the position we give it in our hearts. When money becomes our source, it slowly replaces God as our provider. It begins to whisper, “trust me, depend on me, and build our life on me.” Many have listened only to discover that what they gained externally left them empty internally. But the truth is, it will never be enough. There is a freedom that comes when we stop chasing and start trusting God, who is our true Source.

Hopefully, we have learned throughout our journey that God has this deep, unwavering love for us, full of grace and mercy, which we often mistake for us getting away with things we do. Scripture reminds us that there are a few things God hates that are not random; they are the very sins that pull us away from His very presence: pride that elevates self above Him, evil that corrupts the heart, and lies that distort truth. God truly doesn’t want to condemn us, but He hates what could separate us from Him.

His hatred for sin is proof of His fierce love for us. While the world may soften or excuse sin, God exposes it because He loves us too much to let it quietly pull us away. Our pride tells us we don’t need God, our lies distort what is true, and our evil actions harden our hearts. But God's grace doesn’t just point out the danger; He provides us a way back.
