Daily Devotion. Making The Mark. God is Holy and perfect. He demands the same from us, but as the Bible teaches we have all fallen short of His standard. We have missed the train to heaven! It doesn’t matter who ran the fastest,or missed it by a lot or a little. All our efforts failed. This is why Paul said he’s the chief sinner, we all are! We can only catch the train through the ticket that Jesus purchased for us by His blood soaked death at Calvary. He paid our fare! The Heaven train is waiting at the station for one more sinner who is tired of running. Christ hit the mark for you! Believe it, accept it, and live it in Him!

Daily Devotion. God’s Truth Is Absolute. We’re fallen sinners in need of a Savior. God clearly defines sin so there’s no excuses. His commands concerning human behavior haven’t changed with the times. So here we are in a fallen world that aims to beat us into submission to discord by packaging rebellion into an attractive deception. The results devastate the minds, and hearts of it’s victims. But God has the answer in Jesus Christ! He makes all the difference! He never lets you down when you trust Him to save. Peace and healing comes to those who follow and obey Him. Taste and see what He can do for you.

Sunday Short. Righteous Anger. Scripture says not to let the sun go down on our anger. We have to ask ourselves why we are allowing anger to take control when we are God’s workmanship in Christ? If we let God take control of things then the only anger we should ever face is righteous anger. Things that mock God’s way and justice should cause us to be angry at those things but not at the people who are enslaved by them. Remember who you belong to and who you serve. Let your religion be pure and undefiled by serving the helpless and the hopeless with love that is unspotted.
James 1:17-27

Daily Devotion. Second Chances. God is all about second chances. You are never too far gone. Paul teaches by His personal experience that God can make His enemies into zealous servants. He also restores servants who have failed Him as the story of Jonah tells us. So ministry is not narrowed down by IQ or a diploma, it’s defined by all who allow Christ to be made known by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Exalting Him isn’t to minister only by skill alone, but by an overflow of God that makes an impact. God’s gracious provision comes after obtaining mercy at the foot of His Cross.

When the love of Christ overflows into every action we take, people will be reached by our living and genuine testimony. Desiring to be a teacher without a hearts desire grounded in the love of God’s truth always results in a complete deviation from the will of God based on mounting personal ambition. Many heresies are ancient because invention, speculation, and fables were already being advanced in Paul’s day! Let God take your desires and make them into a vision that fulfills His ultimate purpose in your life, His love!
