The Bible teaches that the fear of God is not abject terror where you shrink away in fear. Our relationship with God is a combination of love, respect, and awe as our Father. It’s a question of who do you love the most, who do you respect the most, and who is it that inspires you with a sense of awe like no other? So we know we fear the lord but we can at times still put other things ahead of our duty to Him. Let God take over your work and
whatever else concerns you. Then you can get psyched up knowing all you do is being done for your Lord!

Daily Devotion. Responsible to God. Following Christ is a call to excellence in all that we do. Our perfect God does not expect perfect workers, but He has called us to connect with His Spirit daily in order to imitate Him in everything. Our jobs are central to our witness as servants. Doing a thorough job, and doing it cheerfully is our Christian duty. It is often easy to cut corners when no one is watching. It should never escape our conscience that God is always watching, and it’s really Him we are striving to please. Ultimately we work for Him so let’s all do our best for Him. Rewards are waiting in glory!

Sunday Short. Growing Faith. Today we read of Jairus a man who today would be likened to a Church Elder. His story teaches us; 1. In order for our faith to grow we must bring our needs to Jesus. 2. Trust Him while you are waiting. 3. Expect more from Him then you asked, God will often awe you by His answer! We all have needs, and face trials, yes even leaders in the Church! The common denominator is we all need to trust Jesus more! When you come, you often wait, but when God answers it’s always better than what you hoped for. So like Jairus we can also taste and see that the Lord is Good!

Daily Devotion. Be Real. When the Word of Christ “richly dwells” in us, godly wisdom flows in our words, actions, and thankful singing. Singing God’s praises is one of the most uniting and edifying things a Church can do. It can also be one of the most divisive and destructive things. Let’s be sensitive to our cultural, and generational differences in music. At the same time let’s also discern the importance of scriptural lyrical content vital to any song we sing. So in whatever way we worship, let us do it from a sincere and grateful heart that pleases our God and builds up His kingdom. God loves to hear you sing!
Colossians 3:16-17.

Daily Devotion. Rooted in the Right Place. To teach others the things of God means to impart knowledge in a way that it’s usable by them and based upon the example we have already set. This is an outgrowth of the Word of Christ dwelling in us richly. It’s God’s Word at home in our heart that makes us able to share that word with a person in such a way that they are able to use it in their own life. Admonish means to help put a concept in mind. Think about how delicate a matter that it is. So be full of the presence of Christ before admonishing anyone. Yes it’s Delicate but important none the less. So do it with love.
Colossians 3:16.
