Inside Out Street Ministry presents:
Go Seek - Taking Children’s Ministry to the Streets
Your “IT”
Hide and go seek is a very popular children’s game. All you need is a tree to call base and an area with plenty of places to hide. A child that is “it” uses the tree to hide his or her face in to count while the other children run and hide. The child at the tree completes his duty of counting and has one more duty of finding. He shouts out this statement before he goes on the hunt, “ready or not here I come”. The child that is found last is the winner and will play the part of being “it”.
Why would the last child become “it”? My opinion is because the child knew how to hide the best therefore enabling him or her to become the best seeker.
I feel the Spirit of God telling the children’s ministry all across our fellowship, “I have preserved you for the final hour to go seek out the children before my return. I have hidden you until this time because I need the best seekers this world has ever known. I have not hidden you from the world but for the world. Your “IT”. You are who I need to go find the next generation. So come out of hiding and began to seek out the children who are lost, you will find many.”
Jesus is our example of seeking out humanity. His mission began with seeking and ended with saving. He came to seek and to save that which was lost (Luke 19:10). We will never be able to save anybody but we can become part of seeking everybody. Jesus is the only One who can save. We can initiate his mission once we begin to seek children and bring many to the plan of salvation. Let’s go seek and watch Jesus save.
