The OCMA consists of the pastors of each of the five churches in Odessa (Heritage Church, Christ Lutheran Church, Zion-Emmanuel Lutheran Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church, and Odessa Foursqure). The members are currently Rev. Jon Hayashi (Heritage; President), Rev. Mark Squire (Zion-Emmanuel; Vice President); Rev. Tim Hauge (Christ; Treasurer); Fr. Hilaire (St. Joseph; Secretary); and Rev. Bill C
ox (Foursquare; Trustee). Any of the five pastors can be contacted for requests or for information. OCMA serves several purposes in Odessa. To serve the people of Odessa in their spiritual needs, OCMA encourages and invites people to join in fellowship with other Christians who are studying God's Word and receiving Christ's gifts. OCMA also organizes several events each year, including hymn sings, music fellowship, Christmas cantata performances, Deutschesfest worship service, Vacation Bible School, and other activities. To help serve people in their physical needs, OCMA administers the Odessa Food Bank, located inside the Odessa Foursquare church building. The Food Bank is open the last Thursday of each month (1:30-3:00) and serves anyone in need. To help with financial needs, OCMA receives funds from area churches and individuals to help with emergency situations involving bill payments for necessary services (rent, utilities, etc.), as well as assistance with gasoline and other such matters. To receive assistance, a person must fill out an assistance request form, available from any of the five Odessa churches. Requests are subject to approval. Since all funds are by donation and are limited, OCMA can only help up to a certain dollar amount per year. We are here to serve you. Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or needs. May God bless you in and through his Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
