Christ Driven Church

Christ Driven Church Christ Driven Church These are exciting times in which we are living today. We are blessed with the privilege to serve God’s people through Christ Driven Church.

Our calling came at a time when we were searching for direction from our Lord Jesus concerning our need for a house of worship in which the Bible is taught and a place where we could grow spiritually. We prayed about this need and God’s calling for 40 days. We fellowship with song and praise for our Lord Jesus Christ, we held bible studies and prayed for God’s blessings for the start of the church

. We wanted to be sure that this calling to start a church came from God. We ended our 40 days prayer at Billy Graham’s Library in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 9, 2009. With our close friends and family we took the 8 hour, 435 mile drive from Maryland to North Carolina, along the way we sang praise songs and shared God’s Word with each other. We shared our burden with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association prayer warriors, and they prayed for us regarding the desire to start a church. Then on September 6, 2009 we held our first church service. It was a Spirit filled time of worship and fellowship. We are humbly following the lead of the Holy Spirit as in Zechariah 4:6 “So He said to me, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” And thus we continue on this Journey to share the message of Salvation through Jesus Christ. And we will be blessed if you would like to join us on this journey, come and visit and hear God’s Word, Believe, and be Saved. God Bless You My Friends.

Habakkuk 2:1 (NKJV) I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.

Habakkuk was a prophet, a watchman, who prophesy to the children of Israel. God would hold Habakkuk responsible for giving out His warnings to them. As long as Habakkuk gave out God’s warnings to the children of Israel and they would repent of their sins and turn back to God, then they would be safe from the enemy. Habakkuk was questioning God’s ways. But Habakkuk knew that God will give him the right answer that will help him understand His ways. Habakkuk knew that God will give him an answer when the time was right. So, Habakkuk was willing to wait for God’s answer. I think that is where many of us fall short. We kind of get impatient and so, we move forward without God’s guidance. We probably should learn that it is best not to get ahead of God. We out to be patient and wait on God’s answer. For God is never late with His answers. God is always right on time. We ought to walk by faith and not by sight. We are to be still and know that He is God. We need to know that God is in control. We need to know that God is just and righteous. We need to know that God has our best interest in mind, and that He loves us. We need to trust in God.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Psalm 121:6-8 (NKJV) 6 The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.

Travelers to Jerusalem were guaranteed safe travels because their protector is none other than the Lord Himself. God almighty the Creator of the heavens and the earth is personally involved in the security of all His people. Jehovah is the Keeper of the children of Israel. The Lord shall also preserve all who come to His Son Jesus Christ in repentance and acceptance. God preserves all of His children, Jews and Gentiles alike. That is a glorious assurance. God will not let you fall. Day and night God shall uphold you with His right hand. God shall present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy. God is the Keeper of the children of Israel and He is the Keeper of all who will come to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and acceptance. “The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in From this time forth, and even forevermore.”

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Psalm 92:1-5 (NKJV) It is good to give thanks to the Lord, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; 2 To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness every night, 3 On an instrument of ten strings, On the lute, And on the harp, With harmonious sound. 4 For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work; I will triumph in the works of Your hands. 5 O Lord, how great are Your works! Your thoughts are very deep.

It is good to give thanks to the Lord. God deserves such gratitude. God is worthy to be praise. And it does good for our souls to praise the Lord. Singing praises to the Lord brings joy to our hearts. God’s lovingkindness is endless and is poured out on us a new everyday. And His faithfulness is sufficient to keep us through each night. Thank God for His lovingkindness and faithfulness. Sweet music enhances our worship of the Lord for His wonderful works of creation, providence, and redemption. Our hearts are filled with joy with all of the wonderful things that God has done for us. God’s marvelous and intricate plans and His promises are being fulfilled right before our very eyes today. It is wonderful to have a God who is sovereign and in control. Knowing that God’s deep designs for Israel and the church are being carried out in accordance to His will and purpose add fuel to the flame of praise. My friends, are you ready for Christ’s return? And are you being productive while you wait?

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Psalm 91:1-2 (NKJV) He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

There is safety abiding in the presence of God. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ dwelt in the secret place of the Most High, and He abide under the shadow of the Almighty. God the Son is Jesus’ position in the Triune Godhead, Elohim. In His position as God the Son, Jesus “who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God” (Philippians 2:6 NKJV). Jesus lived in absolute, unbroken fellowship with God the Father. Jesus never placed His will over the Father’s will. He always did as the Father directed. When Jesus stepped down from heaven to fulfill the Father’s plan of salvation, He clothed His deity in humanity. Jesus was fully God and fully Man while here on earth. Jesus was the perfect, holy, sinless Man and He lived His life on earth in complete dependency on the Father. Jesus can honestly say, “My God, in Him I will trust.” My friends, we ought to be like Jesus, staying in the presence of God, doing His will, and trusting Him.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Mark 8:34-38 (NKJV) 34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”

What does it take to follow Jesus? Well, here Jesus says, in not so many words, to follow Him you must deny selfish impulses, deliberately choose a pathway of reproach, suffering and even death. You might have to give up personal comforts, social enjoyments, certain relationships, grand ambitions, material riches, and even life itself. You have to live a life of self-denial, surrender, suffering, and sacrifice. You can’t be self-centered. You have to pour out your life for Christ’s sake and the gospel’s. You need to dedicate yourself to Jesus. Use your life for the glory of God and the salvation of the those who are without Christ. That is what it takes to follow Jesus. Don’t fit in with ungodly people, don’t do as they do to avoid losing their friendship, to avoid being laughed at, to avoid being ridiculed. If you avoid reproach because of Christ, then you will suffer a greater shame when Christ returns for His church. For you may be left behind. My friends, what kind of Christian are you? Are you a genuine believer? Are you a believer who acknowledges the deity of Christ and serves Him and glorify Him? Or are you a wolf in sheep’s clothing? Are you pretending to be a believer? Are you just going through the motions? Are you real or are you a fake? It is all important these days because Jesus is coming soon and very soon.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Psalm 63:3-8 (NKJV) 3 Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, My lips shall praise You. 4 Thus I will bless You while I live; I will lift up my hands in Your name. 5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, And my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. 6 When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. 7 Because You have been my help, Therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice. 8 My soul follows close behind You; Your right hand upholds me.

God’s love is better than anything that life can give you. Praise God for His lovingkindness. Bless God with your life, for He has given you life. Lift up your hands and praise God’s holy name. As long as you have breath, praise the Lord. Nothing is more satisfying for your soul. Redeem sleepless nights by meditating on the Lord. Remember all that God has done for you. Reflect on the goodness of God. In the shadow of His wings raise your joyful song to the Lord. Cling to God in loving dependence and in conscious need. Seek God all day long and follow Him. And He shall preserve you from all dangers, and He will empower you to press on towards heaven.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Ephesians 5:25-26 (NKJV) 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,

God has never asked any woman to submit to a man who doesn’t love her and doesn’t fear God. And the love for her is to be as Christ loves the church. This is Christian love at it’s best. Christian love in a marriage is to be like the love between Christ and the church. This is the standard of love for Christians who are married. There is nothing else like it, my friends. And all Christian marriages are to be sanctified with the water of the Word of God. The Word of God will keep the love and Christ in the marriage.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Isaiah 32:16-20 (NKJV) 16 Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, And righteousness remain in the fruitful field. 17 The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. 18 My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, In secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places, 19 Though hail comes down on the forest, And the city is brought low in humiliation. 20 Blessed are you who sow beside all waters, Who send out freely the feet of the ox and the donkey.

Here we have a glimpse of what it will be like in Christ’s kingdom here on earth. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will cast all who rebel against God into the lake of fire. The enemies of God will be put to death. Then Christ will establish His kingdom on earth and rule with righteousness and justice. There will be real peace in Christ’s Millennial Kingdom on earth. It will be a peaceful and happy time when Christ reigns. People will be able to take a quiet stroll along the water’s edge without fear of being attacked. And the ox and the donkey can range freely without danger. This is the kind of peace that can only be brought about when Christ reigns on this earth.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
