Christ Driven Church These are exciting times in which we are living today. We are blessed with the privilege to serve God’s people through Christ Driven Church.

Our calling came at a time when we were searching for direction from our Lord Jesus concerning our need for a house of worship in which the Bible is taught and a place where we could grow spiritually. We prayed about this need and God’s calling for 40 days. We fellowship with song and praise for our Lord Jesus Christ, we held bible studies and prayed for God’s blessings for the start of the church. We wanted to be sure that this calling to start a church came from God. We ended our 40 days prayer at Billy Graham’s Library in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 9, 2009. With our close friends and family we took the 8 hour, 435 mile drive from Maryland to North Carolina, along the way we sang praise songs and shared God’s Word with each other. We shared our burden with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association prayer warriors, and they prayed for us regarding the desire to start a church. Then on September 6, 2009 we held our first church service. It was a Spirit filled time of worship and fellowship. We are humbly following the lead of the Holy Spirit as in Zechariah 4:6 “So He said to me, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” And thus we continue on this Journey to share the message of Salvation through Jesus Christ. And we will be blessed if you would like to join us on this journey, come and visit and hear God’s Word, Believe, and be Saved. God Bless You My Friends.

Psalm 36:9 (NKJV) For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.

In Christ is the source of life. “In Him was life, and the life was the light of men” (John 1:4 NKJV). Life is all around you. But can you explain it? Many scientists have claimed to found the source of life, but they have not really. Christ is the Light of the world (see John 8:12). Many scientists claimed that they know what is light. But they don’t really. Life and light are so common to us, but even with all the scientific knowledge about them, we still know very little about them. “In Him was life.” All life is in Christ. We live in a world that is in spiritual darkness. And the fact of the matter is that the farther we get away from Christ the deeper in spiritual darkness we get. And these days, it seems that people are loving the darkness. It is demonic. Spiritual darkness is engulfing the hearts and minds of people who are without Christ. Be careful, my friends, for these are the end times. Awful spiritual darkness is over the world today. It is as in the days of Noah. People are in the darkness. They are loving their sins. And their sins blinds them to God. And their sins condemns them to death. But in Christ there is life, and the life that He gives is the light of men. Only the life that Christ gives can kindle light in the hearts of people. But to receive Christ, you must repent of your sins. You cannot turn to Christ unless you turn away from your sins first. This world is in spiritual darkness. And the world will tell you that your sins are good. But God has not changed His mind on what is sin. Sin is still sin, no matter how much the world calls it good. And there are many churches today that have felled into the darkness. These churches are demonic. Sin is still sin no matter how much the world calls it good. Christ is the only light in this world that can reveal your sins to you. And once your sins have been revealed to you, you will have to decide to turn away from your sins and turn to Christ. You cannot love your sins and love Christ. You have to decide who to follow. I pray that you will choose Christ and live.

Psalm 18:31-42 (NKJV) 31 For who is God, except the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? 32 It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. 33 He makes my feet like the feet of deer, And sets me on my high places. 34 He teaches my hands to make war, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. 35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. 36 You enlarged my path under me, So my feet did not slip. 37 I have pursued my enemies and overtaken them; Neither did I turn back again till they were destroyed. 38 I have wounded them, So that they could not rise; They have fallen under my feet. 39 For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. 40 You have also given me the necks of my enemies, So that I destroyed those who hated me. 41 They cried out, but there was none to save; Even to the Lord, but He did not answer them. 42 Then I beat them as fine as the dust before the wind; I cast them out like dirt in the streets.

Here in these verses, we are given a description of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s second coming. Jesus is coming again to judge all who rebel against Him and those who persecute His people. “Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Thessalonians 1:6-8 NKJV). John described Jesus’ second coming this way, John said, “Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Revelation 19:11-15 NKJV). Jesus is returning “to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him” (Jude 15 NKJV). Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be equipped for war by God the Father, and He will pursue and totally destroy His enemies. This is the fate of those who rebel against God and persecute His people and those who live a life of sin. My friends. sin is still sin, no matter how much the world calls it good. And the penalty for sin is death. That is the harsh reality of sin. But God made a way for you to be saved. All you need to do is to give up your sin and come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance.

Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

The key point here is not a public confession of faith. The key point is making your life backup your confession. If you say that you have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, then your life ought to demonstrate that Jesus is your Lord. Your confession and your life must match. Your actions and your words must say the same thing. You can’t be living in sin and claim to be a believer. You may be able to fool some people but you can’t fool God. You may be able to find some liberal church or a cult that has accepted the evil that the world calls good. But these are not a Bible teaching and Christ believing church. Sin is still sin to God. God has not changed His mind on what is sin. And the penalty for sin is still death. When you come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance, then you ought to mean what you say, your confession must come from the heart. It is with the heart that you believe. God knows if your heart is far away from Him. My friends, if you came to Jesus in repentance and acceptance. Then make sure your heart is in agreement with your confession. Make sure you are living a life that is acceptable to God. Demonstrate your love for God by keeping His commandments. Live a life that brings honor and glory to God. It is with the heart that you believe. If you are still living a life of sin after coming to Jesus in repentance and acceptance, then you are deceiving yourself. Because you cannot fool God. God knows your heart. Make sure you have faith in your heart. When faith is in your heart, it will produce good works. It will produce a change life. It will produce obedience. These are the evidence of your salvation. These are the fruit of your salvation. Jesus died on the cross at Calvary for the payment of our sins. This is the heart of the gospel. Jesus “was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification” (Romans 4:25 NKJV). Jesus did it because He loves us. Why then would you continue to live in sin? If you continue to live in sin, then you reject Jesus’ love and you are not saved. This is the harsh reality of sin. I pray that you will come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance, and that your heart will be in agreement with your confession.

Isaiah 40:30-31 (NKJV) 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Here we have the three stages of spiritual growth. The new and young believer shall mount up as an eagle. As believers study God’s Word and apply it to their lives they shall run with what they learned. And as believers become more spiritually matured, they shall walk with Christ. My friends, no matter where you are in your spiritual growth, God will provide you strength to carry on with the task that God has given you. God will provide you strength to withstand the attacks of Satan. God will provide you strength to face life’s problems and issues. God will provide you strength to make it through life’s sorrows and hardships. God will strengthen you. Simply, wait on the Lord and He shall renew your strength.

2 Corinthians 7:10 (NKJV) For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death.

This is God’s definition of real repentance. It is a change of mind. In John 3:16, God asks us to repent by believing on the Lord Jesus Christ. To believe on Jesus is to come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance. There is a turning from sin which is repentance. And there is a turning to Jesus which is acceptance. Repentance and acceptance lead to salvation. How does the unsaved have a change of mind? It is not so much by emphasizing repentance and acceptance. But, emphasizing the Lord Jesus Christ is what God wants us to do. We must introduce them to Jesus. And an effective way to do this is by making Jesus real in our lives. They must be able to see Christ in us. When they respond to the Lord Jesus Christ, they will turn from their sins and turn to Christ. For those who believe, God does emphasize repentance. We must recognize our sin and repent of it and get right with God. Repentance for those who are coming to Christ and for those who already believe must be genuine. Ture repentance is godly sorrow which produces a change mind. There is a turning away from sin and a turning to the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:6-7 (NKJV) 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Have you come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance? If you say, “Yes, I have.” But you live a life contrary to the Word of God, that is you live a life of sin, then you have not truly accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. And you are not saved. This is the harsh reality of sin. You cannot fool God. God has nothing to do with sin. God is holy. God hates sin. And you cannot explain away your sins, no matter how much the world calls it good. You cannot bring God down to your level. You cannot get God to accept your sin. If Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life, then you are going to walk with God, you are going to walk in light. If you stay close to Jesus, then the Word of God will keep you from sinning. Because the Word of God will reveal all evil and wickedness. And if you are a true child of God, you will get as far away from all evil and wickedness as you can. But if you are living a life of sin and loving it, then you are not walking with God, and the Word of God is not lighting up your path. And you are not saved. We live in a world where moral standards are based on the evil which the world calls good. And many people are rationalizing their sins, trying to explain it away. But, my friends, you cannot bring God down to your level. If you say you have fellowship with Jesus, but you live a life of sin, then you are a hypocrite. You are lying. And you are not saved. When the Word of God reveals sin in your life, and if you a true child of God, then you will repent of your sin and the blood of our Lord and Savior will cleans you from your sin. And your fellowship with God will be restored. But you have to get out of the pigpen of sin, you can’t stay there. You need to get out of it and return to your Father’s house. You can’t bring God into the pigpen with you. That will not work. You need to come to Jesus in repentance. You need to confess your sin and get it out of your life. Otherwise, if you say, “I am comfortable with my sin.” Then your sin condemns you and you will end up in hell. That is the harsh reality of sin. I pray that you come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance. I pray that you chose Jesus and live.
