Christ Driven Church

Christ Driven Church Christ Driven Church These are exciting times in which we are living today. We are blessed with the privilege to serve God’s people through Christ Driven Church.

Our calling came at a time when we were searching for direction from our Lord Jesus concerning our need for a house of worship in which the Bible is taught and a place where we could grow spiritually. We prayed about this need and God’s calling for 40 days. We fellowship with song and praise for our Lord Jesus Christ, we held bible studies and prayed for God’s blessings for the start of the church

. We wanted to be sure that this calling to start a church came from God. We ended our 40 days prayer at Billy Graham’s Library in Charlotte, North Carolina on August 9, 2009. With our close friends and family we took the 8 hour, 435 mile drive from Maryland to North Carolina, along the way we sang praise songs and shared God’s Word with each other. We shared our burden with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association prayer warriors, and they prayed for us regarding the desire to start a church. Then on September 6, 2009 we held our first church service. It was a Spirit filled time of worship and fellowship. We are humbly following the lead of the Holy Spirit as in Zechariah 4:6 “So He said to me, 'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” And thus we continue on this Journey to share the message of Salvation through Jesus Christ. And we will be blessed if you would like to join us on this journey, come and visit and hear God’s Word, Believe, and be Saved. God Bless You My Friends.

Revelation 21:2-5 (NKJV) 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” 5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

There is no lovelier description of the New Jerusalem then this: “… made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.” It is one of radiance and beauty. And this is where all who belong to the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, all who have been cleansed with the Word of God, will be for eternity. It is glorious and wonderful that we can have a personal and intimate relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ now and for all eternity. The day when all who have come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance will be with Jesus in the New Jerusalem will be a most glorious day. We are going to have glorified bodies and we are going to celebrate throughout eternity the very fact that we are with Christ. In the New Jerusalem there will be no more tears “and death shall be no more.” Christ will make all things new. And we will be in a growing and loving relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for all eternity.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Matthew 5:6 (NKJV) Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.

Who seeks the Lord Jesus Christ? It is not a lack of knowledge or understanding of who Christ is that keeps people from coming to Jesus in repentance and acceptance. It is a love of their sins that keeps them from coming to Jesus. They say to themselves, “I am comfortable in my sin.” However, they cannot love their sins and love Jesus at the same time. Because God hates sin. And so likewise those who love their sins, are hating Christ each day that they continue living in their sins. If they would hate their sins, then they will come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance. But as long as they love their sins they will not come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance. Because those who love their sins are in contract with God’s commands. They will not receive God’s grace. They do not hunger and thirst for righteousness. Instead, they call evil good and good evil. They refuse God’s grace because it is foolishness to them, because they love their sins. Who seeks the Lord Jesus Christ? Those who hate their sins as God hates sin. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled.”

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NKJV) 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be the One to call up all who belong to Him by faith at the rapture of the church, the body of believers. Christ Himself will come down from heaven to take His church out of this world. Christ “will descend from heaven with a shout” of authority and majesty, He will call us to meet Him in midair with a voice as loud as “the trumpet of God.” Then “the dead in Christ will rise first,” and “we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” All who have come to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and acceptance will be caught up at the upward call of Christ. My friends, Christ is returning for all who belongs to Him by faith. He can come at any time. Are you ready for Christ’s return? Those who have come to the Lord Jesus Christ will hear the upward call of Christ. But those who refuse to repent and believe because they love their sins will not hear the voice of Christ. They will be left behind because in their love for their sins, they hated Christ. And so, their sins have already condemned them to hell. My friends, the Lord Jesus Christ is returning soon and very soon. Do you have Christ? If not, come to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and acceptance, and receive forgiveness, a newness of life in Christ, and eternal life.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Proverbs 8:32-36 (NKJV) 32 “Now therefore, listen to me, my children, For blessed are those who keep my ways. 33 Hear instruction and be wise, And do not disdain it. 34 Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. 35 For whoever finds me finds life, And obtains favor from the Lord; 36 But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul; All those who hate me love death.”

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has been made wisdom unto us. And there must be a love for Him. And the way that we demonstrate our love for Jesus is by keeping His commandments. Wisdom is Christ. As it is written, “But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption” (1 Corinthians 1:30 NKJV). My friends, the Lord Jesus Christ is everything that wee need. Christ is wisdom to us. He is our righteousness. Christ is our sanctification and our redemption. Whatever it is that you are in need of, you will find it in Christ. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” (Ephesians 1:3 NKJV). All who come to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and acceptance receive the blessing of grace. And as a child of God, He showers us with the riches of His grace. God “has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” The greatest blessings that we receive from God are spiritual blessings, for these blessings are everlasting. God is calling to all lost sinners to come to Him through His Son Jesus Christ. What is your response to God’s call of salvation? Whoever comes to the Lord Jesus Christ in repentance and acceptance receives eternal life and stands in full favor with God. But those who refuses to come to Jesus because they love their sins and they hate Jesus. In loving their sins, they pronounce that they love death. Because the penalty for sin is death. My friends, if you have Christ then you have life. If you do not, then you remain on the pathway to hell and death. Come to Jesus in repentance and acceptance, and you will be given forgiveness, a newness of life in Christ, and eternal life.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Psalm 56:3-6 (NKJV) 3 Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. 4 In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? 5 All day they twist my words; All their thoughts are against me for evil. 6 They gather together, They hide, they mark my steps, When they lie in wait for my life.

What does fear do for you as a Christian? Fear will bring out faith in your life. There are times when we are afraid, if we would be honest with ourselves, but we trust in God to take care of us. And when we do put our trust in God, our faith calms our fear. God is more powerful than all our enemies combined. And God is more powerful than any problem, issue, and situation that causes us to fear. Even when death looms over us, we can have no fear. Because God has promised to protect us from harm. We can face anything without fear when we put our trust in God. In God we have hope. This is why we can face those who persecute us, want to hurt us, and even want to kill us without fear. We have a hope for a future in eternity with God.

God Bless and have a great in God’s Word.

Psalm 90:1-2 (NKJV) Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. 2 Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

God always existed, He is the eternal God. As far as you can look back to the past, God existed even before that. As far as you can look into the future, God still exist even after that. God has no beginning and no end, He is the eternal God. In every generation, He is still God. We are just one of God’s creatures. As it is written, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27 NKJV). We are created beings, male or female, because that is how God created us, male or female. God does not make a mistake. “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7 NKJV). We are one of God’s created being, male or female, not an evolved animal that thinks therefore it is what it thinks it is. You are formed in your mother’s womb, perfectly formed by God, male or female, just as God made you to be.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Psalm 103:17-18 (NKJV) 17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting On those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, 18 To such as keep His covenant, And to those who remember His commandments to do them.

God’s mercy lasts from everlasting to everlasting to those who fear Him. To them God’s mercy is never ending. And God’s righteousness extends to their children and to their children. And on and on, as long as each generation fears God. This is of great comfort for Christian parents today. Because we live in a world of increasing wickedness and evil, and it seems that the end is near. Christ return is closer than yesterday. But we can safely entrust our children and their children and every generation thereafter to God whose love is infinite and whose mercy is everlasting and whose righteousness covers all who fears Him and keeps His covenant and remembers to do His commandments. These are the conditions for God’s promise that is made here. So, we are to do teach these things to every generation by example. That is the best way to make God real in our lives and for God to be real in the lives of every generation. It is a wonderful feeling to see that God is real in the lives of our children and their children. Make God real in your life, my friends.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.

Romans 12:15-16 (NKJV) 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

As believers, we are to enter into the joys and sorrows of each other. “Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.” We are to have the mind of Christ. And what was the mind of Christ? Christ humbled Himself. Likewise, we are to be humble. That is what it means to have the mind of Christ. With humility, we are to enter emotionally into the lives of our brothers and sisters in Christ. This is what makes genuine believers so wonderful. We all like to associate with important people. We think it makes us look important. Well, the Word of God says, it is better to associate with the humble. For one thing, you don’t have to pretend to be something you are not with people who are humble. You can be genuine with them. And one thing, with those who have the mind of Christ, we can stop being wise in our own opinion. We can be humble. And it is much better to be humble than to have an over inflated ego. When we are humble, we have less of a chance of looking like a fool.

1 Corinthians 13:11-13 (NKJV) 11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Paul is talking about spiritual maturity. Here in this body, our temporary dwelling place, our ability to fully know and understand all spiritual things is not possible. Although, we are to strive towards spiritual maturity, we won’t reach it in this body. In this body, our understanding of spiritual things is limited by our flesh. As we grow towards spiritual maturity, our flesh may cause us to have set backs, so to speak. It is like, we take two steps forward, then one step back or even more. But when we all get to heaven and see the Lord Jesus Christ face to face, we will have glorified bodies that is not corrupted with the lust of the flesh, that is sin, and we will be able to understand and know God more completely. However, as long as we have fleshly desires we are susceptible to stumble into sin. If you say, you no longer sin, then you just sinned. Our flesh prevents us from reaching full spiritual maturity. Our flesh hinders our understanding of the Word of God. And our flesh makes it difficult for us to always, 24 hours a day and 365 days a year, be a living example of God’s Word. Right now, our flesh is a great hindrance to us. But when we get to heaven, we will have glorified bodies that are without fleshly desires. We will be without anything that will hinder our understanding and knowledge of God. We will know God more fully when we see Him face to face. Our knowledge and understanding of God will be vastly greater than it is now. Many people wonder if we will recognize our friends and family in heaven. The answer is most certainly, yes you will. You will see them more clearly, in fact. Now, you only partially understand them. But when we get to heaven, we will have a deeper understanding of who they are. And they will likewise know you more as well. Just as we will know God even more than we do now. When we all get to heaven, the object of our faith will be fulfilled. There will be no need for faith, because we will be in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. All of our hopes will be realized. There will be nothing left to hope for. So hope will naturally disappear. However, love is going to abide. Love then is the greatest of these three: faith, hope, and love. For Jesus will never cease loving us.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
