Finding Peace and Quiet
24 HOURS OF PEACE AND QUIET SILENT RETREAT

An entire weekend retreat may not be possible for you. One day (24 hours) may be more manageable.

The purpose of this retreat is very simple, finding peace and quiet. People from all walks of life are looking for an opportunity to step out of the turbulence of daily life to take care of themselves.

The retreat begins with an introductory gathering on Friday evening at 7 PM with an overview of the Center and suggestions for individuals to spend their time. After that, the schedule is open. The only requirement to attend the 24 Hours of Peace and Quiet is the desire to maintain an atmosphere of quiet for everyone who has gathered. Retreat Center Staff will be on hand to offer resources or direction as individuals may desire. The 24 Hours of Peace & Quiet ends Saturday with Mass at 5 PM and supper for those who choose. The time of Peace and Quiet ends at 7 PM.

We invite you to rest, reflect and renew - while drawing closer to God - during this transformative silent retreat being offered.

What’s included?
Your retreat includes simple but comfortable accommodations including a private room with a bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower, sheets and towels. Three meals on Saturday, refreshments, and any retreat materials.

Retreat Schedule
You’ll arrive by 6:00 pm on Friday, check in, and join the retreat staff for a talk at 7:00 pm. Refreshments will be served, but there is no Friday evening meal.
On Saturday, we’ll begin with breakfast, then the day is open for prayer, rest and reflection. Lunch is served midday. Mass is at 5:00 pm followed by supper. Our retreat and time of silence concludes at 7:00 pm and you may depart anytime before or after supper.

Comments from our guests:
“Restful and inspiring retreat. The flexibility of attending whatever meets your needs for the day its helpful. The QUIET, lack of expectations for attendees, excellent talks, and unstructured time for thinking, prayer and rest - make for a wonderful retreat. Highly recommend.”

Reserve your Hermitage now for Spring, Summer and Fall.

The setting, the hermitages, and the grounds are peaceful refuges from the busyness of daily life and, I believe, that you will have opportunities to rest as well as pray in the chapels or amidst the wooded areas of the property.
The tradition of retreating from the busyness of daily living has its origins with the Desert Fathers and Mothers during the early 4th century. These holy women and men sought to minimize the distractions of daily living so they could hear and experience the promptings of the Holy Spirit. This is what the staff at the retreat center hopes to provide for you during your stay. We encourage you to leave activities that distract you from being quiet and instead embrace solitude and prayer in your hermitage.
Included in all of our hermitages are bed linens, towels, bar soap and paper products (toilet paper, Kleenex). A minimum two-night stay is asked. The fee is $95.00 per night. Non-refundable Deposit for 1 night is required ($95.00). Please note that meals are not provided for hermitage guests. Each Hermitage has a kitchenette. All of the Hermitages have A/C
During your private retreat we do offer to you one-on-one spiritual direction with one of our Redemptorist priests or brothers. The offering is just $35.00 a session unless other arrangements are made. You would set-up your time with the Spiritual Director.
