SAVE THE DATE: NOV 1 - Irwinville Methodist Church Quilt Show

The Irwinville Methodist Church Quilters will have a quilt show on Saturday, Nov 1, from 11am to 5pm at the Irwinville Methodist Church. This year the show is part of Irwinville's Fall Festival Community Day. Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated since this ministry is totally funded by donations.

The show will feature twin size quilts and smaller ones made by the group. Quilts will be donated to The Methodist Children's Home, Ruth's Cottage, and Patticake House. There will be an extra display of Quilts for Kids made by the Ocilla quilters. These ladies have already made and donated 44 quilts this year to the Atlanta Chapter of Quilts for Kids.

A new addition to the show this year will be a sewing station at which visitors may sit and sew a block that will be used in a future donation quilt. Come out and see lots of beautiful quilts and talented ladies! Irwinville Methodist Church address for GPS is Clements Avenue, Ocilla, GA 31774; it's on Hwy 125 in Irwinville. FMI contact Kim Busbin @ 229-468-7511.
Hope to see you there!

The Nicene Creed is an ancient product of the Church designed to explain the faith to converts in a succinct message.
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light,
true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father;
through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven,
was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became truly human.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and his Kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified,
who has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic (universal) and apostolic church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
Amen.
