Located on the South Shore of Nassau County the Young Israel of Oceanside is a growing Orthodox community of 200 families. We are an established community that is vibrant but down to earth. A place where you won't be just another number, and neighbors truly care about one another. We are a beautiful and affordable community offering convenience, Torah values, and a wonderful way of life.

Tonight was the finale of our Matan Bat Mitzvah Learning Program.

Bat mitzvah aged girls and their moms learn each Motzei Shabbat about women throughout tanach and modern Jewish history focusing on the qualities and characteristics that can be learned from each woman
Each learning session includes sources from tanach, gemorrah, midrash, and commentators
The learning is followed by engaging discussions and crafts or activities related to the learning.
