Today is the first Sunday in the season of lent and we will be teaching on Jesus wilderness journey of fasting and being tempted from Matthew 4:1-11. Why Lent? A time to lay down the things that eat away at your spirit. The areas of life that lead us to sin, pain, sorrow. Will there be challenges in life? Sure. But Jesus teaches his disciples and way to navigate. Journey with us as we learn about finding contentment and freedom in Christ.

5th Sunday Potluck

“People will come from east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.” – Luke 13:29

Jesus reminds us that God’s kingdom is pictured as a feast. It’s people from all ages and walks of life gathering at the same table, united in Him. Sharing a meal isn’t just about food; it’s about fellowship, family, and a foretaste of the great banquet we’ll one day share in heaven.

Our GP potluck is a small reflection of that heavenly feast. As we bring our dishes and sit side by side, we celebrate the unity Christ gives us and the joy of being part of His family. Eating together strengthens our bond and reminds us that in God’s kingdom, everyone has a seat at the table.

Good Friday. What makes it good? Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ, and it is considered “good” because Christians believe Jesus’ sacrificial death paid the price for humanity’s sins, offering salvation and the promise of eternal life. Sunday we celebrate that which makes it good and real. Come gather with us as we sing and share the story. Remember to bring flowers to help us in decorating the dark cross. If you bring a guest be sure to bring some for them as well.

Shared Meal Sunday!

Hello Church family!

We share a meal quarterly because we see the power of eating together as a community and how relationships transform our hearts. We will share some updates of what God has done through GP and what’s to come. Join us this Sunday and sign up to bring something below. All are invited so feel free to bring a friend.

When; Sunday 10:30am (April 13th)
Location; 1307 South Coast Hwy, Oceanside Easter is the following Sunday and we will be celebrating at our usually 10:30am service time and we invite you to bring flowers to decorate the cross as we do each year.

Advent. The “Hope” candle burns the longest. Our hope isn’t wishful thinking. Biblical Hope looks specifically at God’s faithfulness throughout the narratives of scripture and believes that God will continue to remain faithful into the future. Our hope is built on Jesus and as we daily learn to place our trust in Christ our hope develops. May you lean on Jesus this season for your hope and experience the resulting peace. Tomorrow we light the candle representing peace which Jesus brought into the world.
