Eric and Brittany Gibbs serve primarily on the Tohono O’Odham Nation and the Gila River Indian Community in Arizona. In the Tohono O’Odham Nation, only 1% of the population identifies as evangelical, and many villages have no known believers. Because they are resistant to the Gospel and outsiders, the Gibbs prayed for the opportunity to plant a church there. They visited weekly, built relationships, helped families with basic needs, and served however they could. After several months, they received permission to begin a Bible study. One woman attended and gave her life to Christ. Within the next year, 20 people trusted Christ, and a church was born!

Nasa and Caroline Sete are church planters with a heart to reach Polynesians in Hawaii—many of whom have never heard the Gospel. Following God’s call, they are planting a church among people who share Nasa’s heritage. On Oahu, Nasa is building relationships, seeking the right location, and connecting with those in need of Christ. Together, they believe God has uniquely positioned them to share the Gospel in a culturally meaningful way.

Rugged terrain, isolation, religious and ethnic pride, and lack of Scripture make taking the gospel to this unreached people group difficult. Pray for a Muslim-background believer to break through the obstacles to reach them with the Gospel of Christ.
