🔊 Help Us Amplify the Message!

From inspiring sermons and beautiful music to joyful laughter and heartfelt prayers, there's a lot worth hearing at St. Peter's! Unfortunately, our faithful sound system has been working overtime for decades and is beginning to sound a little more "vintage" than "vibrant."

We're raising funds for a new sound system so that every note sung, every scripture read, and every message shared can be heard loud and clear throughout our church. Think of it as giving God's Good News a microphone upgrade!

Whether you can give a little or a lot, every contribution helps us get closer to a sound system that will serve our congregation and community for years to come.

On Monday, June 8, the first shipment of equipment arrived, and we were excited to see installation begin. Watching this long-awaited project finally come to life was a wonderful milestone in our Sound System Campaign. While the system is not yet fully operational, significant progress is being made each day. We look forward to sharing updated photos soon—and perhaps even an audio sample—so you can experience the enhanced clarity and rich, vibrant sound that will fill our sanctuary for years to come.

As we continue serving God through worship, fellowship, outreach, and sharing the Good News with our congregation and community, it is essential that we have reliable communication and sound...

What does it mean to do the "heavy lifting" of faith?

In Sunday's sermon, Pastor Bettye reminded us that Jesus did the greatest heavy lifting of all through His sacrifice on the cross, bringing salvation and hope to the world. But our calling as disciples does not end there. Jesus sends us out, just as He sent the disciples, to share His love, compassion, and grace with others.

The work of discipleship isn't always easy. It means reaching beyond our comfort zones, caring for those in need, offering words of encouragement, extending forgiveness, inviting others into fellowship, and being living examples of Christ's love in our daily lives.

Through our baptism, God equips us for this work. We don't rely on our own strength, wisdom, or authority—we go forth with the strength and authority that come from Christ. We are called to help lift others up, sharing the good news that freely we have received God's love and freely we are called to give it away.

As we begin a new week, consider: Who might need a kind word, an invitation, a helping hand, or a reminder that God loves them? The harvest is plentiful, and Christ calls each of us to be part of His work in the world.

"Freely you have received; freely give." Matthew 10:8

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church! 🇺🇸

Today we honor the Stars and Stripes, a symbol of the freedoms we cherish and the sacrifices made by those who have served our nation.

As we celebrate Flag Day, we also give thanks to God for His many blessings and pray for wisdom, peace, and unity in our communities and throughout our country.

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom He has chosen as His heritage." — Psalm 33:12

May this day remind us to be grateful citizens, faithful servants, and loving neighbors.

God bless America, and may God’s grace guide us each day.

❤️🤍💙

Something exciting is happening in the sanctuary—and if we were a dog, you’d definitely see a full tail-wag happening!

Our new sound system installation is underway! Watching the equipment arrive and the first steps of installation begin has us doing a little happy dance in the background.

Stay tuned for further updates. This is going to sound (and feel) amazing!

What if you discovered that God isn't waiting for you to be perfect? He's simply inviting you to be part of something bigger than yourself. In a world that often tells us we're not enough, these scriptures share a different message:

✨ You are loved.
✨ You belong.
✨ Your life has purpose.

This week's bible lessons remind us that we are chosen, loved, and sent with purpose.

📖 Exodus 19:2-8a – God calls ordinary people into an extraordinary relationship.

🎶 Psalm 100 – A joyful reminder to worship with gratitude and celebrate God's goodness.

❤️ Romans 5:1-8 – Even at our worst, Christ's love reached for us first.

🌎 Matthew 9:35-10:23 – Jesus sees the needs of the world and invites us to bring hope, compassion, and healing wherever we go.

Join us this Sunday as we explore what it means to live with faith, hope, and courage in today's world.
