Free Union Church of Ocean Beach, Fire Island

The Free Union Church is the oldest existing house of worship on Fire Island. We are Christian and interdenominational.

Free Union Church is located at the corner of Ocean Breeze and Midway in Ocean Beach NY. Services are held at 10:30 each Sunday from Father's Day through Labor Day. The Free Union Church of Ocean Beach was organized in the year 1916, and its affairs are administered by its board of trustees. The church is interdenominational; all Christians are welcome and are cordially invited to worship and work

with us. The finances of the church are provided by free will offering and proceeds of special activities. The Free Union Church is the oldest existing house of worship on Fire Island and was established in 1916. Ground was broken for the laying of the cornerstone for the church in 1917. In late August of 1918 a service of dedication of the building was held. BOARD OF TRUSTEES

As we kick off our 110th anniversary season as a church, we thank True North Community Church of Bohemia, L.I., for assisting with pastoral and musical services for a 16th summer this year. We look forward to working with True North many more years. ❤️
