You want to teach someone about Jesus Christ? Colossians 1:13-23 is a good place to start. We see the truth about Jesus revealed in these Bible verses:

1. He is the Son of God (v.13)
2. He is the Redeemer — the One through whom we have redemption (v.14)
3. He is the Forgiver of sins (v.14)
4. He is the Image of the invisible God (v.15)
5. He is the Firstborn over all creation — the supreme heir and ruler (v.15)
6. He is the Creator of all things (v.16)
7. He is the Creator of all realms — heaven and earth, visible and invisible (v.16)
8. He is the Creator of all authorities — thrones, dominions, rulers, powers (v.16)
9. All things were created through Him (v.16)
10. All things were created for Him (v.16)
11. He is before all things — eternal preexistence (v.17)
12. He holds all things together — sustainer of the universe (v.17)
13. He is the Head of the body, the church (v.18)
14. He is the Beginning — source and origin of the new creation (v.18)
15. He is the Firstborn from the dead — supreme in resurrection (v.18)
16. He has preeminence in everything (v.18)
17. All the fullness of God dwells in Him (v.19)
18. He is the Reconciler of all things (v.20)
19. He made peace through the blood of His cross (v.20)
20. He reconciles sinners to God (v.21–22)
21. He presents believers holy, blameless, and above reproach (v.22)
22. He is the One in whom we must continue in the faith (v.23)
23. He is the One whose gospel has been proclaimed in all creation (v.23)

Written some 700 years before Jesus was crucified by the Prophet of Israel, The Prophet who saw God on His Throne high and lifted up. Only God tells what He is going to do centuries before it happens and has the sovereignty to make it happen!
Isaiah Chapter 53
The Sin-Bearing Messiah
53 Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no [a]form or [b]comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no [c]beauty that we should desire Him.
3 He is despised and [d]rejected by men,
A Man of [e]sorrows and acquainted with [f]grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4 Surely He has borne our [g]griefs
And carried our [h]sorrows;
Yet we [i]esteemed Him stricken,
[j]Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But He was wounded[k] for our transgressions,
He was [l]bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
11 [r]He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the [s]spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

HAPPY PALM SUNDAY! We remember Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem which started all of the events this week, and He would be crucified on the cross (voluntarily) to pay for the sins of all who will believe in Him, and believe that God the Father sent Him!
John 12:12-16
12 The next day a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, 13 took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and cried out:

“Hosanna!
‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’
The King of Israel!”

14 Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, sat on it; as it is written:

15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion;
Behold, your King is coming,
Sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

16 His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.
