CIDADE DE OCALA LOCAIS DE SACOS DE AREIA
Em preparação para a tempestade tropical Idalia, a cidade de Ocala iniciará suas operações com sacos de areia na segunda-feira, 28 de agosto, do meio-dia às 20h. A partir de terça-feira, 29 de agosto, essas estações de autoatendimento com sacos de areia estarão abertas das 7h às 20h, se o tempo permitir.
Locais das estações de sacos de areia da cidade:
- E.D. Croskey Center, 1510 NW Fourth St. Os residentes da cidade são incentivados a entrar pela NW Fourth St., virando à direita na NW 14th Ave.
- Parque Tuscawilla, 800 NE Sanchez Ave. Os residentes da cidade são incentivados a entrar pelo extremo sul da Avenida Sanchez, atrás do Reilly Arts Center
- Parque Jervey Gantt, 2200 SE 36th Ave.
Os residentes da cidade devem entrar pela SE 36th Ave. perto dos campos de T-Ball
Essas estações estarão disponíveis gratuitamente para os moradores da cidade. O limite é de 10 sacos de areia por morador. A assistência da equipe estará disponível para residentes idosos e deficientes.
Sacos de areia podem ser usados para evitar a entrada de água durante tempestades e condições climáticas severas. Eles podem ser colocados em portas, bem como em aventais de calçadas, portas de garagem e outras áreas da casa.
Os locais das estações de sacos de areia e os horários de funcionamento estão sujeitos a alterações conforme as condições climáticas mudam.

CITY OF OCALA SANDBAG LOCATIONS
In preparation for Tropical Storm Idalia, the City of Ocala will begin its sandbag operations Monday, Aug. 28, Noon to 8 p.m. Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 29 these self-serve sandbag stations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather permitting.
City sandbag station locations:
- E.D. Croskey Center, 1510 NW Fourth St. City residents are encouraged to enter from NW Fourth St. making a right turn onto NW 14th Ave.
- Tuscawilla Park, 800 NE Sanchez Ave. City residents are encouraged to enter from the south end of Sanchez Ave., behind the Reilly Arts Center
- Jervey Gantt Park, 2200 SE 36th Ave. City residents should enter from SE 36th Ave. near the T-Ball fields
These stations will be available to City residents at no cost. The limit is 10 sandbags per resident. Staff assistance will be available for elderly and disabled residents.
Sandbags can be used to prevent water intrusion during storms and severe weather. They can be placed in doorways, as well as driveway aprons, garage doors, and other areas around the home.
Sandbag station locations and hours of operation are subject to change as weather conditions change.
