Temple B'nai Darom Florida's Second Oldest & Friendliest Synagogue - A Reform Jewish Congregation - Temple B'nai Darom is an inclusive, welcoming Reform synagogue.

Welcome to the Official Page of Florida's Second Oldest and Friendliest Congregation. A bet tefillah (house of prayer), and a bet midrash (house of learning), we offer religious services, cultural and social programs. Our tradition emphasizes the importance of Torah, Avodah, and Gemilut Hasadim (learning, worship and deeds of kindness). These are the principles which guide us as we serve the Jewish community of Marion County and beyond. We invite you to join with us to enjoy the warmth and beauty of our synagogue. Cantor Alisa Forman has been our spiritual leader since 2024 following the retirement of Rabbi Harold Jaye, who had served as rabbi at the temple from 1987 until 2024. Rabbi Jaye then became rabbi emeritus. We do weddings and receptions and parties, etc. at our building and we still have plots available at our cemetery. Temple B'nai Darom
