ABRAHAM asked God to save S***m if 50 righteous people could be found in the city. Then, 45 righteous people. Then, 40, 30, 20, and finally, he begged God to spare the city if he could find 10 righteous people. God relented and promised not to destroy the city for the sake of 10.

But, alas, if you know the story… 10 righteous people could not be found. Lot and his family fled and were the only ones spared from the destruction of the cities.
