Ask most of us what the helmet of salvation protects and we'll say our thoughts. Pastor Jordan took us back to Isaiah 59, where God wears the helmet himself before he ever hands it to us. Along the way he told the story of Dale Earnhardt's last lap at Daytona and the one device he refused to wear.

We are safe because God saved us. We feel safe because we know he did.

God doesn't promise a life without things that make us anxious.

He promises His presence in the middle of them.

Bring it to Him. Pray about it. Give thanks. Then choose to dwell on what is true, honorable, pure, and good.

His peace is bigger than your circumstances.

You don't have to clean yourself up before you come to God.

You don't have to have all the answers.
You don't have to pretend everything is fine.
