Yesterday in worship we heard that EVERY lost soul is of infinite value to God. That just as the woman celebrated after finding the lost coin, God and His angels celebrate when a sinner repents and turns back to God.

And last night, your students were challenged. Challenged to be a part of the harvest that is talked about in Matthew 9.
To be a part of the harvest we need to pray for the harvest daily and by name, make Jesus obvious in our lives, share the Gospel, and to keep doing it. We are called to be workers in God harvest, sharing the good news of Jesus.

Heaven was celebrating last night as we celebrated 6 students giving their lives to Jesus!!

This morning, we were encouraged to keep going, to be confident in God and not ourselves. That the end of camp is not a finish line but just the start, because God is not done! We would not have had the week we did if it were not for our Trinity family. Thank you for investing in the next generation

I don’t know what to say about yesterday other than wow… so let me try to put our day into some words for you.

Yesterday we started our day off with worship and a lesson on how in this world we will find wheat and weeds, good and evil, and that in the end, God will separate the two. That our hope is not in this world but in the fact that Jesus is coming again!!

We had some fun in the middle of the day, connecting and learning to work as a team.
Then came last night. Let me tell you, God was moving and moving powerfully.

Last night your student learned 3 points from John 15:1-16.
1. Remaining in Jesus requires connection.
Your light can NOT shine if you are not connected to the Source.
2. Remaining in Jesus requires correction.
Jesus is slowly removing the things that do not looks like Him in our lives. He corrects because He loves us.
3. Remaining in Jesus requires progression.
When you give your life to Jesus, your life will change and your fruit should show it.

Our church group time afterwards was met with hands lifted high, many on their knees crying out to Jesus, prayers of repentance, salvation, restoration and healing. Many of your students found freedom in our Lord last night and we cannot wait for the impact they are about to have in our community and the world!

Night 2 is coming to an end. But today we learned that true righteousness comes from humble repentance and God’s grace, not from self righteousness or good works performed with pride. Tonight we unpacked the parable of the farmer scattering seed in Matthew 13:3-24. We heard that God is always scattering truth among us, however it’s the type of soil of our hearts that determines if that truth takes root. Your students were challenged to check the posture of their hearts, and whether they are allowing Jesus to actually take root in their life. Oh yea…we also won the water day squad wars! Go team SURGE!!

Last night as we settled into camp we worshipped and learned what cultivate means. It’s means to prepare for growth. That is what this week is all about. Growth. We learned that if we want to grow, we will.
We’re going to unpack some parables this week, and learn that every parable is an invitation. An invite to know the Storyteller personally. Continue to pray for our students and leaders because this week is just getting started and God is going to do something awesome!
