Love’s Intensity
Above all, let your love for one another be intense, because love covers a multitude of sins.
1 Peter 4:8
So, today, rely on Jesus to help your love find a new level of intensity. Go the extra mile, pay a little closer attention, extend a hand to someone you might find difficult. Then pause to thank God that you get to be an amplifier of God’s glory and a participant in his mission of mercy.

When did you first learn about Jesus? As a child in a family that went to Mass, prayed together and sent you to parochial school? If so, who were the priests, religious and lay teachers that nurtured your budding faith?
Perhaps you didn’t come to know the Lord until later in your life through a campus minister, good friend or your spouse.

The Hard Part
…he said to him, “Follow me.”
You think Jesus was only talking to “Simon, son of John,” think again. In this conversation, Christ has a message for all of us.
Discipleship has demands. In the afterglow of Easter, there is work to do every day of our lives. We may feel overwhelmed. We may struggle. At times, our hearts may be heavy, and our souls may feel parched. Faith may feel weak. How do we keep going? Jesus knows. “Follow me.”
It’s just that simple. And just that hard.

Suffering Transformed
Rejoice to the extent that you share in the sufferings of Christ…
Seven years ago this week, I found myself laying in a Hospital bed recuperating from Sepsis...found myself asking How can an all-loving God allow pain and humiliation? There was no single answer that was satisfying—but in some ways, it’s the wrong question. More vitally, where is God when we suffer? The answer was: on the Cross. Our God doesn’t sit removed from human suffering but has entered into it, taking on our pains, toils and humiliations. Have a Blessed Week...LIVE...LOVE...LAUGH...

Why Wait?
…wait for the promise of the Father about which you have heard me speak…I for one do Not like to Wait...How about you? Do you lack Patience? I would say Most of us do...Todays message is...Jesus’ command to the disciples is to wait and pray. Let us join the Apostles in the Upper Room for the first novena and pray that in nine days the Holy Spirit will come into every part of our lives. It is worth the wait!...
