🇺🇸 July 4th Celebration Update! 🇺🇸

Since Independence Day falls on a Saturday, we will be celebrating together on Friday, July 3rd at the Blaises! Come enjoy a great evening of food, fellowship, and fun as we thank God for the freedoms we enjoy.

If you would like to bring fireworks to contribute to the celebration, please see Eric, who will be serving as our official fireworks technician and coordinating the display to help keep things safe and organized. We look forward to celebrating with our church family!

Today was our last day in Portland, and what a privilege it has been to spend this week sharing the Gospel alongside Portland Gospel Church and participating in their Gospel Conference.

Church planting and Gospel work can be hard. Much of it is planting and watering, often without immediately seeing the harvest. But there is something deeply fulfilling about knowing that we are helping a faithful church on the other side of the United States fulfill the Great Commission.

We have had the opportunity to engage people on the streets, have Gospel conversations, encourage believers, and partner with a church that is committed to making Jesus known in a city that desperately needs Him.

It is amazing to be a part of taking the greatest message ever given to the world. Thankful for every conversation, every open door, every brother and sister we served alongside, and every opportunity God gave us this week.

What a privilege it is to spend time on the streets of Portland sharing the gospel alongside Portland Gospel Church and to be part of their very first Gospel Conference.

Over the last few days, we have witnessed firsthand the extreme hardness to such good news. Nevertheless, we have had opportunities to engage people from all walks of life, hand out gospel literature, have meaningful conversations, and boldly proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ in a city that desperately needs hope.

It is exciting to see what God is doing through Portland Gospel Church. Being part of their inaugural Gospel Conference was a reminder that God is still building His church, raising up laborers, and establishing gospel-centered works in strategic cities across our nation.

Please continue to pray for Portland Gospel Church, for the seeds that are being planted this week, and for the many people who heard the message of Christ. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner together with in making Jesus and God's Word known in Portland.

One of the most meaningful moments of our Legacy Conference is known as "The Green Chair."

For years, pastors and missionaries have sat in this chair to give a personal charge and challenge to our church family, speaking directly to where we are and where God desires to take us. It all started with Mark Trotter and has continued for the last 9 years.

What made it even more special was the location. Rather than meeting in a home, we gathered at our church plant in Citra. As we sat together in that room, we were reminded that the work of the Gospel is bigger than any one building. We are called to carry the truth of God's Word to the next generation and to communities that need Christ.

Pastor Gordon gave us a timely word for our church family and a powerful reminder of the responsibility we have been given.

Standing in Citra, seeing what God has done and is building there, and hearing that charge together made for a moment none of us will soon forget.

On top of that, a young man received Jesus Christ as his Savior. The first one in that location. We pray it is not the last!

We are thankful for the investment Pastor Gordon and his wife, Kristy, made in our church this week and excited to see how God will use these truths in the days ahead.

Our hearts are full as we look back on everything God did over these last few days. From powerful preaching and sweet fellowship to challenged hearts and life-changing decisions, God met with us in a special way.

The final day was a fitting conclusion as we were reminded that the ministry isn't over till our last breath.

We are grateful for every church member, guest, volunteer, and visitor who made these days possible. Thank you to Pastor Corey Gordon for faithfully opening God's Word and challenging us to finish strong, disciple others, and leave a legacy that honors Christ. Thank you to Kristy Gordon for sharing her testimony and time with us.

As you look through these photos, join us in praising God for what He has done. Now the conference may be over, but the mission continues. Let's take what we've heard and faithfully pass it on.
