CCC Sunday Message Recap
Title: A Life Built On The Word Of God

Garrett Smith, youngest son of Pastor Jack and Tina, gave a powerful and moving testimony this morning. Garrett spent 38 years running from a calling that had been repeatedly prophesied over him as a child. Having a father and grandfather in ministry, he had knowledge of the Word of God, but did nothing with it, constantly living with one foot firmly planted in the world. But recently, he finally stopped rejecting the Word of God and found his revelation. As he surrendered to the Word and Order of God, he has found freedom and order in his life. This life-changing order provides peace, forgiveness, mercy and grace. Thank you for sharing your heart with us, Garrett. God bless you!
Everything begins with the Word of God. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) If you need a new beginning, it starts with the Bible. The Word is seed, and you need to be Word-fed and Spirit-led! God’s order is found in the Bible, and every promise and blessing in it are available to us when we live our lives in this order of God. It is all laid out for us! The Bible is the most powerful weapon ever given to human flesh. IT IS WRITTEN! If you don’t have a Bible, get one. It is living, infallible, indestructible, incorruptible and contains the Mind of God. It is the way of salvation. When you fall in love with the Word of God, you fall in love with Jesus. Read the Word to be saved. Practice the Word to be Holy. Read it, believe it and receive it. The Word of God guides our hearts and orders our steps.
The Apostle Paul tells us to “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16) Let God’s Word dwell in you so abundantly that it wells up and sloshes over everyone you meet! Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass withers, the flower fades, But the word of our God stands forever.” FOREVER. The Word of God separates truth from lies, holy from unholy, clean from unclean, sheep from goats, wheat from tares. It is an anchor for your soul—greater than any storm you will ever go through. The Word says that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). It says that whatever you bind on earth will be bound on heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:19). You have the power to heal sickness and cast out demons. (Mark 3:13-15) You have AUTHORITY as a child of God! What the Bible says you can do, YOU CAN do! What the Bible says you have, YOU HAVE! You can have the confidence you are a child of THE KING. You are forgiven. You have eternal life. There is a place for you in heaven, hand-picked by Jesus. No matter what you are going through in this earthly life, you have a refuge, a fortress, a protector, a provider in God. BELIEVE these promises, because the Word of God is steadfast, sure and trustworthy.
There is freedom when we walk in the Word of God. It gives us order and discernment. “ For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) Young people, take this two-edged sword and wield it in your lives. Drive the devil out of your relationships, families, children and your churches! Build your lives on the solid rock of the Word of God—a foundation that cannot be shaken. KNOW what the Word SAYS and KNOW how to USE it in your life. Too many people have lots of knowledge but lack revelation. Your life will not change until you APPLY the Word in it!
In the Old Testament, fleshly circumcision was an outward sign of covenant, but they were still under the old law-bo***ge. As a born again believer, we have been circumcised in the Spirit—under the better covenant of Christ. We are free from the old laws/doctrines that kept us in bo***ge, so beware you don’t go backwards. Paul warns: “ Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation! For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh, though I also might have confidence in the flesh. If anyone else thinks he may have confidence in the flesh, I more so: circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.” (Philippians 3:2-7) Pastor Jack gave an analogy of the dogs we encounter today: the Pointers, who point at something but can’t help you. The Bloodhounds, who always smell a rat. And the Poodles, who prance about in fancy clothes wanting your attention. And beware of what you listen to. There are multitudes of podcasts speaking in many voices/opinions. And meditations which cleverly introduce eastern/new age false doctrines and ideologies. People chase doctrines that align with what they want to hear. This is particularly concerning in today’s world, which Paul warned Timothy about: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;” (2 Timothy 4:3) You want to meditate on something? Meditate ONLY on the Word of God. Proven. Trustworthy. From the heart and mind of God.
It is time for us to return to the simplicity of the Word of God—and the gospel of Jesus Christ. There is a false gospel in the church that preaches love and inclusion without surrender/commitment to Christ. Jesus was NOT politically correct. Read your Bible. He said unequivocally, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) You aren’t going to heaven if you are not in Christ.
Plant the incorruptible seed of the Word of God in your heart, and it will conform you in the image of Christ. You will become His hand and feet. And like Christ, you too have a cross to bear. Nail all the things in your life that you need to lose to your cross. Let them die so that you can rise as a new creation in Jesus! When you take a plant out of dirt, it dies. When you take a fish out of water, it dies. When you take a soul out of the Word of God, it lives a wrecked life—separated from its source of life. Don’t let that separation be eternal!
Read the Word of God and it will read YOU. When your spirit is moved as you read, move with it! Let your mouth be ruled with kindness. Be swift to hear and slow to speak. Don’t judge someone because they sin differently than you. How you respond in mercy and grace to those who are hurting and broken is how God will respond to you. There is grace beyond failure and forgiveness beyond mistakes. Ask yourself, “Am I my brother or sister’s keeper?” Use your words to edify, build up heal and restore. Take the Word of God, treasure it in your heart, act on it, and let God change the lives of those around you. And plant the seed of God wherever you go. Amen.

CCC Sunday Message Recap
Title: It Starts On The Inside

Pastor Jack opened the service with the song, “Stretch Forth Thine Hand.”
Today’s message was presented by Brother Lloyd Lane. 2026 is the year to rise up—to stretch out your hand to receive the provision, healing and miracles God has for us! At the beginning of each new year we tend to think about and set goals for changes we want to make in areas of our lives, whether in relationships, finances, health, ministry, attitude, etc. You might be surprised what God can do on the outside if you first work on changing things on the inside! The circumstances in our lives will not get better if WE are not willing to change them. God never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. God does not and will not change His Word, but if you get in His Word, IT will change YOU!
In Isaiah 43:26 God says, “Put Me in remembrance;
Let us contend together;..” You cannot act on or internalize the promises of God if you don’t know His Word. Just like taking a test in school…the test isn’t for how well the teacher does, but how well you listen and respond to what is taught. Proverbs 23:7 counsels, “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Our thinking is important! What does God want you to think about this year? Is what God thinks your priority? We can live carnally minded (of the flesh) or spiritually minded (of the Spirit)…and there is a big difference between these two and how it affects our lives.
Romans 8:5-9 says, “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”
If all we do is live according to what we see and hear in the world (carnal), this is all we will think about. To be carnally-minded is death—spiritually separated. To be spiritually minded brings life and peace. When you hear/listen to the Word of God, your mind is being renewed. But a carnal mind/thinking will always be in opposition to God. Which will you choose?
When the Spirit of God is in you, you have the ASSURANCE that you can do all things, that nothing is impossible, because HE SAID IT! In the Spirit, we have a God who is a waymaker—our God makes a way when in the carnal there seems to be no way. Hallelujah!
So how do we move from carnal separation to a Spirit relationship with God? First, we must be saved—born again. That means we must accept and know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. If you came to church today and do not know Jesus as your Savior, you are here by Divine appointment. This is a great way to start the new year and begin your new life in Christ! Second, you must renew your mind with the Word of God. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) Once saved, you must hear, read and study/meditate on God’s Word. Get the Word IN you so that it will begin to live and work in and through you. God watches over and performs His Word. This is where the SUPER hooks up with the NATURAL in your life! You do not need to stay in your current circumstances! People complain that an issue “runs in my family” and so they are destined to repeat it. NO! When you accept Jesus, you are born into a NEW family. God does His part after you do yours—once you believe and confess your belief. As a born again believer, you are redeemed from the curse of carnal living. (For more information, read Deuteronomy 28. Verses 1-14 describe the promise of blessings in spiritual living vs. 15-68 curses for living in opposition to God)
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). The enemy will constantly speak into your life through our carnal world. But, “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,” (2 Peter 1:2). Grace and peace are multiplied through the KNOWLEDGE of God. You cannot buy this kind of peace, yet it is given to you freely through God’s Word. Hosea 4:6 states, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Internalizing God’s Word will bring external change as the Word will begin to act in and through you. Consider the body of Christ you are worshipping with at church. Aren’t you glad you know people who carry the Word of God in them—that can speak and pray the Word over you when you need help? Church, we need each other!
As this new year begins, don’t throw up your hands and welcome it in, saying, “whatever will be, will be.” NO! Don’t open that door to the enemy! Rise up in faith! You have the power to DECLARE what your year will be according to the promises stated in God’s Word! Knowledge alone is not enough. You can know you are saved. But you must activate your faith. Get in the Word. Read it. Hear it. Meditate upon it. Internalize it. Receive it. And know that victory is yours! So often we don’t see ourselves like God sees us. Take Gideon, for instance. When God’s angel found him, he was hiding in a winepress, fearful and weak. Yet the angel addressed him as, “Hello, man of valor!” “Who, me?” answered Gideon, wallowing in his own pity-party. Yet when Gideon finally got a revelation of how God saw him as precious and a conqueror, he rose up and went from victory to victory! God sees YOU this way! You are the head, not the tail. The winner, not the loser. You are the conqueror! So remind yourself about what God says about you. You are the apple of His eye, and nothing can separate you from His love. (Romans 8:38)
Gideon had to get out what was inside of him, (fear, doubt, unworthiness, etc) so that God could do His work in him. So position yourself for victory. Get your “want to” working. If you want change in your life, you have to want to try and to put forth an effort. Like the woman with the blood issue, she decided she needed to touch Jesus and then stretched forth her hand and DID it. She had to get on the inside of her that Jesus was her healer and that she would receive healing. She touched Him, and because of that act of faith, she was healed. You are no different. Your faith can make you well. Your faith can bring the victory into your life.
Get the “impossible” on the inside of you, and watch what miracles God will work in your life. Just like Mary, who believed the impossible annunciation of the angel Gabriel, that she would bear the Son of God. Psalm 62:5-7 says, “My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.”
In this new year of 2026, declare that ‘if the Word of God says it, this is what I’m going to believe, for the Word never changes and means what it says. Things are going to change because I am going to change in Christ.’ When you get the power of God inside you, you will think and act on new and higher levels. You do your part and God does His part! “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,..” (Ephesians 3:20)
God wants to be good to you in 2026. How much will you let Him do for you, in you and through you? Amen.
