Good Friday Service 2021

On October 3, at 4:30pm, people and their pets are invited to gather in the church for a short service, which includes the individual blessing of each animal and its owner. The service has a few short hymns, one reading, a couple prayers, a short homily and the blessing. It is a lot of fun as the pets join in the hymns to make their own joyful noise unto the Lord. By long tradition, the offering given at this service goes to the local Animal Rescue League. Come and bring a friend (and an animal)!

The Diocese of Pittsburgh elected The Rev. Dr. Ketlen Solak to be the IX Bishop of Pittsburgh on Saturday, June 26. Dr. Solak is originally from Haiti and came to the United States in her teens. She is an accomplished musician and has led the Brandywine Collaborative (a grouping of three churches) in the Diocese of Delaware. She and her husband, Scott, will move to Pittsburgh before September 1. On September, she will visit St. Thomas Church to preach and to celebrate.
