Pray with me as you start your week:
Heavenly Father,
Some of us are starting this week already worn out from worrying about it. The mind keeps running the same loops, and we're tired before Monday has even begun.
But, You told us not to worry about tomorrow, that today has enough of its own (Matthew 6:34). Help us actually live that this week.
When fear starts speaking the loudest, remind us You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Quiet the noise.
Anchor us in the peace You promised. Not a peace that depends on everything going right, but the kind that holds even when it doesn't (John 14:27). Keep our minds fixed on You, and keep us in perfect peace as we trust You (Isaiah 26:3).
Teach us to cast our anxiety on You, because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). And remind us that the same God who has carried us through every other week is the One walking with us into this one (Deuteronomy 31:8).
In Jesus' name, Amen.
