Statement of Faith

What We Believe:
1.God: God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Gen 1:1, Deut 6:4; 26,27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matt 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14

2.Mankind: We were originally created in the image and after the likeness of God, and that we fell through sin, as a consequence of sin

, lost our spiritual life, becoming dead in trespasses and sins, and subject to the power of the devil. Gen 1:27; 6:5; Psalm 8:3-6; Isa 53:6a; Rom 3:23; Isa 59:1,2, Jeremiah 17:9; John 3:6; 6:35

3.Eternity: We all were created to exist forever. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men. The saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment. The place of eternal separation from God is called hell. Heaven is the place of eternal union and eternal life with God. John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15 (Hell); Matthew 25:41; Revelation 21:27 (Heaven)

4.Jesus Christ: Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Matt 1:22,23; Isa 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Heb 4:14,15; I Corinthians 15:3,4; Rom 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Tim 6:14,15; Titus 2:13

5.Salvation: Salvation is a gift from God to mankind. Rom 6:23; Eph 2:8,9; John 3:16; 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3;5; Gal 3:26; Rom 1:18; 5:1; 10:9-10; 1 Corinthians 15:1-6

6.Eternal Security: Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in the salvation for eternity. John 10:29; II Tim 1:12; Heb 7:25; 10:10, 14; I Peter 1:3-5; I John 5:11-13

7.Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of Salvation. II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; John 14:16, 17; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 2:12; I Corinthians 3:16; Eph 1:13; Gal 5:25; Eph 5:1

8.Bible: The Bible is God’s word to mankind. II Tim 3; 16; II Peter 1:20, 21; II Tim 1:13; Psalm 119:105, 160; 12:6, Rev 22:12

9.Church: The Church is composed of all believers who by the Holy Spirit have been baptized into the body of Christ since Pentecost. Matt 16:18; Acts 2:41; I Corinthians 12:12-13; Matt 28:19; I Corinthians 11:26

10.Sanctification: Sanctification is twofold, positional and practical. First positional, since the believer is in Christ, he is a partaker of Christ’s sanctification. Secondly, practical, the believer is responsible for his practical sanctification (daily walk), he is to “grow in grace” and become like Christ. Rom 5:1-5; II Corinthians 3:18; Eph 4:24;5:5-27

11.Ministry and Spiritual Gifts: God has sovereignly bestowed Spiritual Gifts on all believers and that these gifts make room for the believer. I Corinthians 13:4-11; I Corinthians 14:27-33; Romans 12:3-8; Ephesians 4:7-12; 1 Pet 4:10

Pay Careful Attention:
Psalm 119:59-60 "I pay careful attention as you lead me, and I follow closely. As soon as you command, I do what you say." Point To Ponder: If we are honest with ourselves; more importantly, honest with God, we would admit most times, we ask God to bless our plans for the day instead of seeking His Divine Plans for the day He has made AND blessed us to see. We would also admit (to ourselves), our plans are, most times, just about us. So, when discord or trouble arises, we move our thoughts and plans above His, while trying to assist Him in fixing our plan. This morning with humbleness, with Thanksgiving, let us seek Wisdom, and Divine Directions from God. With the Holy Spirit’s Help, let us pay careful attention: As He Speaks; listen! Where He Directs; go. Where He Leads; follow. When and how He Commands; obey. When we look back tonight, we will Joyfully see how God adjusted our path for His Glory and our benefit. His adjustment kept us from dangers we were unaware of. His adjustment blessed us to be a blessing to others. His adjustment bridled our tongue from speaking the ungodly thoughts we were thinking. His adjustment allowed us to be forgiving as we have been forgiven. His adjustment allowed us to be encouraged and encouraging instead of condemning. So, tonight, if it be God’s Divine Will, we can again be Thankful AND Praise God for His Faithfulness! Praise God while in His Loving and Most Capable Arms, He rocks us to sleep! On this Fantastic Friday, God IS Still Divinely Speaking! As His child, through this day, let us pause long and often enough AND Pay attention!

And When He:
Matthew 27:12 "And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing." Point To Ponder: He, ‘The Preeminent Christ,’ Lord OF Lords, King OF Kings, was accused by sinful man Jesus made in His Image and Likeness! Wow: how arrogant, and self-righteous of sinful man, to stand in judgment of sinless Christ! In man’s arrogance, most then and most today did not know why Jesus did not verbally answer His accusers! They and those of today could not see His answer, loud and very clear, was in His Humble submission to the Cross – for them, for you and me! They did not see then or now, His Divine Mission, to pay, in full, man’s sin debt, and to redeem man, while restoring man to right fellowship with God The Father! Those accusers are those in position to lead and teach others about ‘The Savior.’ Their religious and political positions were more important than establishing and maintaining a personal relationship with King Jesus. There religious and political position were threatened because they had become entrenched in their positions forgetting their positions were a blessing from God not for personal gain or recognition. In man’s arrogance then and now self is more important than humble service to Christ and one another! Yet, ‘He answered nothing! Yet, God IS Still Divinely Speaking! He IS IN Divine Control! Let us not be too busy with the cares of self, this world nor our positions that we miss hearing the Lord Speak! Sometimes it is not necessary to verbally respond to haters/accusers. Instead, let our humble obedience to Jesus’ Lordship over our lives, speak loudly through us in this sin-sick world for His Glory. For He IS “Jesus The Christ”! He IS our Redeemer! He IS our Hope! He IS our Savior! He IS Lord!

Faith-Being Sure:
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Point To Ponder: God IS the Sovereign, Blessed, Faithful Object of our faith. God IS and shall ever be Faithful! Our Faith IN God’s Faithfulness IS the core of our relationship with God. Faith IN God grabs hold of the Truth IN God’s Word and IS energized by the Spirit OF God, placing our hope IN God! Our faith {should} totally rest ON God’s Faithfulness and His Unwavering Truthfulness. God; the same yesterday, today and forever more; therefore, His Unmatched, Heavenly, Divine Capabilities never change and are always available to His children! That availability includes His Power; Love, Comfort, Guidance, Provision, Sovereignty, His Word, His Sufficient Grace, His Mercy {and so much more} has not and shall not and cannot fail. Our faith is fickle and fluctuates as our life situations change. However, true Faith does NOT believe just anything, and faith IN God is not aimless. Faith looks TO God, trusting in WHO GOD IS, even before we see or know the outcome. Faith trusts God’s Word! Faith Seeks God’s Word! Faith Obeys God’s Word! Our Faith Grows by God’s Word! Faith Reflects God’s Word! Faith humbly Shares God’s Word! His Divine Name IS Jesus! Faith Acts on God’s Word! God IS IN Divine Control! God IS Still Divinely Speaking! Faith Rests IN Him!

BE A Godly Peacemaker:
Hebrews 12:14 “Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” Point To Ponder: Be Still! Look at our current condition. You will find deliberate finger-pointing, fault finding, gossip, drama; a willful hatred one for another and ourselves; no patience, un-forgiveness, rampant condemnation, a wanting of more while overlooking Him that Graciously Gifted us His ALL. You will see a lack of or no prayer for one another AND a purposeful drifting from God’s Word. You will see (or maybe not), the abuse of God’s Amazing and Sufficient Grace, along with a total disregard for His Longsuffering! We, The Redeemed, are NOT one another’s enemy. We, The Redeemed, are NOT making EVERY effort to live in peace with God so how do we expect to have peace with one another or show the Peace OF and FROM God to those that do not know God? It is not and never has been about a right to be right for we are only made Right through Christ. Follow Jesus’ Lead! He did not gossip nor complain about the Cross He had to bear on our behalf! He died while we were yet sinning in order that we could have Peace with and from God! As quiet as it has been kept by Jesus’ Church, He IS IN Divine Control AND God IS Still Divinely Speaking! Humbly return to Him Who IS Able. Seek His forgiveness! Turn from ourselves back to our Redeemer! Since we blessedly have Peace OF and FROM God, make every effort to be Godly Peacemakers so others can see what that looks like.

By Faith!
Hebrews 11:30 "By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days." Point To Ponder: Faith IN God is a Wonderful, Blessed ‘Gift’ FROM God. Faith IN God is lived out in life experiences! In those experiences, we come to personally trust and know God IS Faithful – not us – even though we may not have seen the outcome! Faith IN God is not dependent on how God’s Sovereign instructions may seem to us; it is dependent on our obeying His instructions despite how they may seem to us. From man’s perspective, who would have thought marching around the wall of an enemy, physically unarmed, for 7 days made sense. In their marching, some, including the enemy, may have thought those marching were helpless, and an easy target. What God’s children soon discovered, in their obedience too God, He Was Their All-Powerful Weapon AND Protection! Oh, how true; God’s Ways are not our ways. Do not stand in the way of being blessed by God because we don’t see or understand the outcome. Our Faith (in action); Our Praise (lifestyle); Our Obedience (to His Word), will see chains broken, relationships restored and walls falling down. And the windows of Heaven Open. God IS Still Divinely Speaking! ‘By Faith!’

Self-imposed Boundaries
Psalm 32:7 "Thou art my hiding place; thou shall preserve me from trouble; thou shall compass me about with songs of deliverance." Point To Ponder: Let us be aware of self-imposed boundaries; places we arrogantly make ourselves in a vain attempt of hiding from ourselves, others, and God! We have and are looking for ways to shield and protect ourselves, while forgetting our history has proven our efforts inadequate. Our self-imposed boundaries prevent us from our knees in prayer! With the Divine Help of His Spirit, our self-made boundaries keep us from hearing God, trusting God, and without fear, obeying God. Reread this verse; look at what God IS saying too us about all that He IS to us. He IS our ‘Hiding Place’- our ‘Preserver’ in times of trouble! In these times of trouble, there is no greater place; no greater place of our being guarded than IN the Capable Arms of I AM! God has, is and He can extend His range of deliverance wherever we are, including those places within us we attempt to hide from God and ourselves. God IS Still Divinely Speaking! There is no place you are that He IS not already there! In these troubled times it has become time that we come out, come out, from self-imposed boundaries where we are attempting to hide from one another while living in fear. That hiding place of fear and uncertainty keeps us from being blessed by ALL God has and IS to us! Let us come into the Haven of Heavenly Rest AND Protection provided in the Resurrected Christ! The only security that will stand is in the Unshakable Shelter of His Most Capable Arms, where we can sing, “It was God’s Grace; His Amazing Grace” that kept us, is keeping us, and delivered us!

For God’s Sake:
Isaiah 43:25 "I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember your sins." Point To Ponder: With the Precious Blood of Christ, God blots out our sin and remembers them no more. It is not that God forgot or overlooked our sin! His Son, with Amazing, Unfailing and Unconditional Love, willingly and obediently died for our sin! King Jesus took on the full wrath of God paying, in-full, the sin debt we owed. And, for His Sake meaning that we can humbly come to God, not pleading our own merits (because we have none), but (“on account of”) Jesus' Merits. For His Glory and our best interest, He chooses to forget! Picture a Library with all the books. On the pages of those books, are all the words that represent your sin. By the Precious Blood of the Lamb, now picture the words of all those books representing your sins being washed, blotted out and the pages are white as snow! Now picture how God views us through the Precious Blood of Christ. God IS no longer angry at us! Hallelujah! We have Peace OF and FROM God through Christ! Hallelujah! No longer are we condemned by God so why are we condemning ourselves and one another. Question: Why do we hold on to our own sin AND the sin of others that God has already blotted out? So, for God’s Sake, be quick to thank God for His complete forgiveness. Be quick to completely forgive yourself, God already has. Be as quick to forgive others as this is being Godlike. To choose to ‘remember’ no more is to be even more like God! Oh, God IS Still Divinely Speaking! "I, even I, am he that blots out your transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember your sins."

God Reigns!
1 Chronicles 29:11 "Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as Head above all." Point To Ponder: Because of the everyday chaos in this world, the consistent back and forth banter of who is in what office; who is aligned with what denomination, who is on the left or the right, God’s child should never allow stuff have us lose focus of who is really and eternally in charge. God Reigns! God Reigns on His Earth! God Reigns in His Heaven! God Reigns over His creation, including His Church! With Absolute Power, Majesty, Dominion, AND Authority – GOD REIGNS! God Reigns with Sovereign Control; He shall not be swayed! God Reigns with Power (He cannot lose nor gain any power – HE IS POWER). God Reigns with Majesty (There is none more Magnificent, none more Majestic, none Mightier than He)! God Reigns with Dominion! He IS IN Divine Control of History! He IS IN Control Right Now! He IS IN Control of the Future ALL at the same time! He has say-so AND the final say-so in the affairs of His creation! God Reigns with Absolute Authority (He IS Sovereign – NO one, nothing can question why He does nor when He does! God Reigns AND He IS Victory (By the Cross Work of Christ the enemy has been defeated; therefore, He IS our Victory)! God Reigns as King (His Kingdom IS AND Shall Reign For Ever). God IS Still Divinely Speaking! No matter how bleak things may appear, our God Reigns Above Everything!

A New Heart!
Ezekiel 36:26 "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you." Point To Ponder: Jesus says: Revelation 21:5 ". . . Behold, I make all things new . . ." Man’s history has proven man’s heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. With man’s self-made division, self-made hatred, self-built walls around an already wicked heart, man, on his own, cannot fix, nor does man have a desire to fix that which needs spiritual renewal. Only God has/IS the Power, and He IS willing to give our life a new start with a New Heart, if we humbly repent, confess, allow Him, and submit to Him! The heart, our hiding place, you know that place where our most inner thoughts and emotions rest. After stewing on our thoughts and emotions, our heart becomes that place where we emotionally transfer what we feel into what we think. After simmering a little longer, that emotional and thinking resting place then determines how we act towards God, one another, and ourselves. It is that place where so much attention is given, one blocks oneself from hearing the Voice OF Christ! King Jesus IS Still Divinely Speaking! ". . . Behold, I make all things new . . ." We cannot whitewash the old heart thinking we can change ourselves with good deeds or thoughts! We cannot whitewash an old heart with a worldly or political agenda and expect any change in what or how we think, feel or act. Pause, look around, evaluate yourself while evaluating the sin-sick condition of this world, and see man has tried and is trying that, and it did not and is not working! Through Christ, allow God to make the exchange of a lifetime, now and for eternity, and give you a New Heart and New Spirit for a New life IN Him!

God IS!
Romans 12:12 “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Point To Ponder: It is Wednesday; the start of a new day none has seen before; it is the middle of a new week. It is the beginning of New Grace AND New Mercy from our God OF Hope! As we reflect on today and what it may bring, before asking God for anything, did we, being divinely touched by Him, awake, thankful to breath His Breath of Life? Did we awake joyful, praising God for His Worthiness and Faithfulness even though we may have abused yesterday’s Mercy and Grace? Did we awake knowing God’s Unfailing Love kept us through the night and His Unfailing Love woke us this morning? Did we arise knowing God Truly Loves us and has empowered us to love Him, and love others as He loves us? Is our hope IN God who can handle ALL of today and ALL of us? Do we really know God IS always on time; He IS never in a hurry so why should we be? God IS Still Divinely Speaking; NOW, speaking directly to us, His children. No one is exempt from affliction. “Be” indicates Joy, Hope, Patience, and Prayer is always available to us in affliction time. He, our Redeemer, wants you – yes you too know, affliction is neither a chance incident nor a free reign for gossip, complaints, or a pity-party. It is a grand time to be faithful in prayer because He IS always Faithful to hear our humble cry! Wherever you may be, in whatever the affliction may be, know God has ‘An All-Wise Design’ to make you and me more Reflective of our Savior-His Name IS Jesus – He IS Our Joy! He IS our Hope!
