As we begin a new conversation series around engaging God through the Hebrew Scriptures, we’ll introduce this theme by exploring a story where Jesus visits two sacred pillars of the past. How people experience and understand the divine has always been expressed through story, and over the next few weeks, we’ll revisit the sacred together. 🎨🎭🎤 Oak Life is bringing back Art Night on Friday, August 28!

NOW WE KNOW we have some creative and talented people amongst us at Oak Life Church. We'd love to see you show off your art! Maybe it’s a new endeavor you’ve taken on, or an art you’ve mastered. Bring it all.

All art mediums welcome✨️: singing, playing an instrument, photography, painting, poetry, the list could go on… Prepare your piece. It is open to all, not just Oak Life peeps. Sign up to perform/showcase through our link in bio.

The church and people of faith have long communicated ways to express joy through praise and celebration, but how do we continue to walk the path of love when doubt enters the chat? 🚶‍♂️‍➡️We're Walking & Talking every week in August! 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

For the month of August, join Andi in some reflective and/or joyful time around Lake Merritt on Tuesdays. Sometimes going out for a walk is exactly the medicine we need. Whether it’s in a silent reflective state, or yapping the entire way with community! There'll be many opportunities to hang; come to any of the activities at any moment.

Tomorrow! July 26 we are back at Snow Park! The time flies and it is the last sunday of the month. We’ll be having church outdoors in the warmer weather and usually under a tree. Bring a blanket, a chair, a snack… whatever will start your day off right with community! We’ll be taking a break from our sermon series to hear Pastor Greg speaking on Interpreting the Scripture.

🌈✨️ Oak Life Church will be at Oakland Pride!

Oakland Pride is happening sooner this year, but we stay ready! Every year, Oak Life Church hosts a booth to pass out FREE waters to folks. If you were looking for communal pride plans... we could use your help: setting up, handing out waters, and/or cleaning up :)

To volunteer, click the link in bio, read the whole google doc and guidelines and add your name to the list. There will be an Orientation meeting on July 26 to go over details of the day.
