To celebrate 30 years of CIPC, 13 of our leaders gathered at the Capitol to educate, advocate and make their voices heard.

On April 15, our interfaith team joined 2026 Immigrant Day of Action, lifting up policies that protect and support our immigrant communities— because we know that immigrants are the fabric of our state and country. To truly thrive, we need equitable policies that reflect our faith values and what California should stand for!

We invite you to join us and on May 9 for a 12-mile pilgrimage through Oakland — walking in public to call for an end to military cargo shipments from Oakland to Israel.

Across faith traditions, we proclaim: ✊🏽Divest from war. Invest in life.

Step by step, we carry our grief, our prayers, and our hope — bearing witness to a sacred truth: every human life holds immeasurable dignity.

This pilgrimage builds on the Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimages of 2024 and Oakland’s Right of Return Pilgrimage in 2025. In year three, we renew our call for an immediate arms embargo — locally and nationally.

In solidarity with the Oakland People’s Arms Embargo, Come and join the journey. Come pray. Come witness. 🤍

🇵🇸

Ven a rezar. Ven a ser testigo. 🤍

🕊️ INTERFAITH VIGIL: Flipping the Tables of Oppression

Tuesday, March 31, 2026 | 12:00-1:00pm
📍 SF ICE Office, 630 Sansome St., San Francisco

As we move through the sacred seasons of Ramadan, Passover, and Easter, we gather as an interfaith community for prayer and collective action.

We pray as we witness daily:
Escalating violence against immigrant families
Ongoing genocide in Gaza fueled by US weapons
New US war against Iran (1300+ civilians killed, including 200+ children)

It’s time to flip the tables of oppression!

Join us to ceremoniously cast out corporate perpetrators: Amazon, Google, Palantir, Chevron, FedEx, G4S, GEO Group, and CoreCivic - companies fueling suffering and destruction through ICE operations and military contracts.

Honoring Passover’s Biur Hametz (burning away what must not be carried forward) and the table-flipping courage of Holy Week.

We will not be silent. We come together in community, courage, and love❤️

250+ people gathered outside the ICE Field Office in San Francisco for our 9th Annual Day of Remembrance Interfaith Vigil— February 25—holding memory, prayer, and resistance together.

We honored the 125,000 people of Japanese ancestry unjustly incarcerated during WWII and stood in solidarity with immigrant families still facing detention and separation today.

From beautiful artwork to powerful music and dance, Remembrance calls us to take action with courage and compassion❤️

Never Again is Now. May all families be free.

🇵🇸 Join Interfaith4Palestine on May 9, 2026 to walk in public witness calling for an end to military cargo shipments from Oakland to Israel. 🙏

As the drumbeat of war and profiteering grows louder, we walk in solidarity with the Oakland People’s Arms Embargo to proclaim: Divest from war. Invest in life. 🌱

🚶🏻‍♀️‍➡️Together we will journey 12 miles through Oakland, walking our prayers and embodying our shared conviction that every human life is sacred, and that peace with justice cannot be built through militarism. ☮️

This pilgrimage grows out of the global Gaza Ceasefire Pilgrimages of 2024 and the Right of Return Pilgrimage in 2025. In this third year, we renew our collective call for an immediate arms embargo—locally and nationally. 📢

History shapes how we understand the present — and how we build the future.

The systems we live under did not appear overnight. They were constructed through the criminalization of Indigenous peoples, the enslavement of Black people, Jim Crow terror, mass incarceration, and immigration policies rooted in racial control. These histories are not separate — they are connected.

This Black History Month, we honor the legacy of Black resistance and invite you to see the threads between past and present — across communities — to recognize patterns of oppression and resistance.

Black history is not separate from immigration history. It is central to it.

The criminalization of Black existence did not end — it evolved. And so has Black resistance.

Across generations, communities have organized, protected one another, and demanded dignity. Seeing these patterns calls us to confront injustice — and to choose solidarity, courage, and liberation.
