This Sunday after church, we're gathering around the table to celebrate Juneteenth together.

Bring collard greens, gumbo, cornbread, a favorite family recipe, or another dish that reflects your own heritage and story. As a church family, we're excited to honor the rich history of Juneteenth while celebrating the many cultures and traditions that make up our community.

We're digging in right after service (around noon)!

Everyone is welcome - we'd love to share a meal with you.

This summer, we’re gathering all around Oakland and the East Bay for live music, coffee walks, beach hangs, and park concerts - simple ways to enjoy the beauty of where we live and connect with one another along the way. Whether you bring a friend, the family, or just yourself, join us for a summer where fun goes farther and relationships go deeper.

☕ 7/11 — Coffee & Walk the Lake | 10am at the Pergola
🏖 7/18 — Beach Day at Crown Memorial (Alameda) | 2pm

Looking for a simple way to meet people and serve Oakland alongside others? Come join us for Serve Day! 🤝❤️

We’ll be helping prepare a local school for deep cleaning by labeling classroom items and moving them into the hallways so Oakland kids can come back to a clean, welcoming place to learn. No special skills needed — just wear clothes you can work in and come ready to pitch in!

Whether you’ve been around Tapestry for years or you’re just curious about our community, this is a great chance to get connected while serving the city we love so much.

Join us as we help throw an End of Year Carnival for the students at Learning Without Limits - the school where we meet every Sunday.

Some weekends stay with you long after they’re over.

Last year’s Tapestry Weekend Away was one of those moments - time set apart to slow down, crack up, share meals, worship together, and come back more grounded in who we are as a church family. It reminded us of how good it is to step away from the noise and realign with what matters most.

And this year, we get to do it again. 🎉

Join us for Tapestry Weekend Away 2026 as we come away together in the Santa Cruz mountains to deepen friendships, sharpen our sense of purpose, and lean into where God is leading us a church.

There’s something beautiful happening at Alpha.

Every week, people from all different backgrounds and walks of life are gathering to share meals, ask real questions, and talk honestly about faith and life. Alpha has been a reminder that faith grows in community - and that no question is too big, messy, or out of bounds.

We’re thankful for every person who’s joined us so far, and hopeful that what begins at these tables will continue far beyond them.

Easter 2026 was incredible!

We celebrated 4 baptisms, and the hope of the risen Jesus washed over us through the word, worship and community. If you're looking for a community of faith, hope and love, we'd love to meet you next Sunday at Tapestry!

Special shout out to Smoked Fried for an *incredible* meal of brisket, ribs, links, chicken, and all the fixin's. 😋

What if you stopped saying 'I earned this' and started saying 'by the grace of God'? 🙏 This perspective shift changes everything about how we worship and live. When we realize we don't truly own anything, gratitude becomes our natural response.

A huge thank you to Dr. Efrem Smith for inspiring a deeper worship at Tapestry Church a couple of weeks ago.
