A few weeks ago in youth, we built towers out of marshmallows, paper, popsicle sticks, and M&Ms. They looked strong. They looked impressive. But when the βstormsβ came, most of them did not last.
It was a simple illustration with a deeper truth: what we build is important, but the foundation beneath it and the materials we use matter even more
π βThose who trust in the Lord are as secure as Mount Zion; they will not be defeated but will endure forever. Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever.β β Psalm 125:1β2 (NLT)
God does not promise a storm-free life. He promises security in Him. An unshakable faith is not loud or flashy. It is steady. It is rooted. It endures.
If you are ready to build something that actually lasts, join us for youth every Wednesday at 7pm. We would love to see you there.
