Our Obon Festival includes cultural performances and demonstrations. Shirley Kazuyo Muramoto and Brian Mitsuhiro Wong have been performing at Obon for years - this year they are presenting “Smooth Summer Grooves” with special guests Seiji Oda, Hiromi Inaba, and Rev. Harry Bridge!

Our Obon Dance Practices continue this week: Monday 7/27, Wednesday 7/29, and Thursday 7/30 from 7:00-8:30 PM. Parking available - please park in the back lot to the left.

Our Obon Festival is on Saturday, August 1 – it includes food, cultural demonstrations, and performances, and of course the Obon Dance starting at 6 pm!

BCO’s Obon Dance Practice starts tonight, Tuesday, July 21, at 7:00 pm. Limited parking available behind the church. And don’t worry if you can’t make the first one we will also meet Thursday July 23, Monday July 27, Wednesday July 29, and Thursday July 30! All practices start at 7:00 pm. And of course, the Obon Dance itself is on Saturday, August 1 at 6:00 pm!

Our Bazaar & Food Festival is today, Saturday, June 20 from 12 Noon to 6 pm! Formerly known as the Nikkoland Bazaar, hence the banner. Come join us! More info in first comment.

This Sunday at 10 am PDT is our Shotsuki Monthly Memorial & Dharma Family Service - it will be held in our Social Hall because our pews are being refurbished - it is also our last service in June until the July Shotsuki - join us online or in-person! Link to our YouTube channel in first comment.

We had a wonderful celebration of Shakyamuni Buddha's birthday with our Hanamatsuri Service yesterday! Our guest speaker was singer/songwriter Miharu Okamura - she is a member of Bonbu Stories and the duo KO-HA, and she debuted a new song for our Dharma School! We also got to hear a new version of the classic gatha "In Lumbini's Garden." You can check out the service on YouTube - link in first comment.
