September 2026 - Prayer Focus

A September to Remember!

FOCUS: REVIVE US AGAIN!

Will you not revive us again so that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your faithful love, Lord, and give us your salvation.
‭‭~ Psalms‬ ‭85‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Revival means to bring back to life, restore, renew, awaken, and make useful again.

We are not simply praying for a larger crowd, louder worship, or another church event. We are praying for a true revival, a sovereign work of God that begins in the heart, restores our hunger for His presence, renews our love for His Word, produces repentance, restores holiness, rekindles our witness, and sends us back into the world with greater power and purpose.

This September, we are praying:
“LORD, REVIVE US AGAIN!”

We are also asking God to teach us how to handle what is sacred. God’s presence is not something to be treated casually. Revival requires reverence, obedience, holiness, and hearts prepared to carry God’s presence correctly.

💚 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026

FOCUS: REVIVE US AGAIN!

Lord, I have heard the report about you; Lord, I stand in awe of your deeds. Revive your work in these years; make it known in these years. In your wrath remember mercy!
‭‭~ Habakkuk‬ ‭3‬:‭2‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

For the High and Exalted One, who lives forever, whose name is holy, says this: “I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed.
‭‭~ Isaiah‬ ‭57‬:‭15‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Prayer Focus:
• Pray for God to awaken what has become spiritually dormant.
• Ask God to restore our hunger for His presence.
• Pray for fresh passion for prayer, worship, the Holy Scriptures, and holiness.
• Ask God to revive His Church before asking Him to revive the culture.
• Pray that revival begins with us.

Prayer Emphasis:
LORD, do not simply revive our worship services. Revive our souls.

Reflection:
Revival begins when God’s people become dissatisfied with merely having good church and become desperate for God.

💚 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2026

FOCUS: REVERENCE THE PRESENCE!

Primary Scripture:
2 Samuel 6:1 -11 (CSB)

Then David said, “No one but the Levites may carry the ark of God, because the Lord has chosen them to carry the ark of the Lord and to minister before him forever.”
‭‭~ 1 Chronicles‬ ‭15‬:‭2‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord has spoken: I will demonstrate my holiness , to those who are near me, and I will reveal my glory, before all the people.” And Aaron remained silent.”
‭‭~ Leviticus‬ ‭10‬:‭3‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.
‭‭~ Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Prayer Focus:
• Pray for renewed reverence for God’s presence.
• Ask God to expose casualness, presumption, and disobedience in our spiritual lives.
• Pray that we never confuse excitement with obedience.
• Ask God to purify the way we handle worship, ministry, leadership, Scripture, and sacred responsibilities.

Prayer Emphasis:
LORD, teach us to carry what is sacred with clean hands, pure hearts, and obedient lives.

Reflection:
God’s presence is a gift to welcome, but never a power to manipulate or a holiness to trivialize.

💚 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2026

FOCUS: REVIVAL THROUGH REPENTANCE!

God, create a clean heart for me and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore the joy of your salvation to me, and sustain me by giving me a willing spirit.
‭‭~ Psalms‬ ‭51‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

and my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
‭‭~ 2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
‭‭~ James‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Prayer Focus:
• Pray for genuine repentance rather than religious performance.
• Ask God to reveal attitudes, habits, motives, and behaviors that need to change.
• Pray for humility throughout Evergreen MBC.
• Ask God to restore broken fellowship with Him.
• Pray that repentance produces lasting transformation.

Prayer Emphasis:
LORD, search me, cleanse me, change me, and use me.

Reflection:
True revival does not merely make us feel God’s presence. It makes us confront what prevents us from fully living in His presence.

💚 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2026

FOCUS: REVIVAL THAT SPREADS!

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””
‭‭~ Acts‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.
‭‭~ Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭16‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles. Now all the believers were together and held all things in common. They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.
‭‭~ Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭42‬-‭47‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Prayer Focus:
• Pray that revival moves from the sanctuary into homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.
• Ask God to turn renewed believers into courageous witnesses.
• Pray for salvations, restored families, transformed lives, and renewed communities.
• Ask God to make Evergreen MBC a living testimony of Christ’s love.

Prayer Emphasis:
LORD, revive us until our community can feel the difference.

Reflection:
Revival that never reaches beyond the church building has not yet reached its full assignment.

💚 WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30, 2026

FOCUS: A SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER!

Fire must be kept burning on the altar continually; it must not go out.
‭‭~ Leviticus‬ ‭6‬:‭13‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the Spirit; , serve the Lord.
‭‭~ Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭11‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Therefore, I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is in you through the laying on of my hands.
‭‭~ 2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.
‭‭~ John‬ ‭15‬:‭4‬ ‭(CSB‬‬)

Prayer Focus:
• Pray that what God begins in September will continue beyond September.
• Ask God to preserve spiritual hunger after the emotional moments have passed.
• Pray for disciplined prayer, consistent worship, faithful discipleship, and continued obedience.
• Ask God to make revival a lifestyle rather than an event.
• Pray that Evergreen MBC will carry the fire of revival into the future.

Prayer Emphasis:
LORD, don’t let our fire go out.

Reflection:
A September to remember must become a life to remember. Revival is not sustained by yesterday’s encounter. It is sustained by today’s surrender.

🌲💚 SEPTEMBER CORPORATE PRAYER:

REVIVE US AGAIN!

Father, in the name of Jesus,
we cry out for true revival.
Revive our hearts.

Revive our prayer lives.
Revive our worship.
Revive our hunger for Your Word.
Revive our holiness.
Revive our witness.
Revive our love.
Revive our passion for Your presence.

Forgive us for mishandling what is sacred.
Teach us to approach Your presence with reverence, humility, obedience, and awe.

Clean our hands.
Purify our hearts.
Renew our minds.
Restore our joy.
Rekindle our fire.

Revive us until prayer becomes our lifestyle.
Revive us until holiness becomes our pursuit.
Revive us until evangelism becomes our passion.

Revive us until service becomes our response.
Revive us until our community sees Christ in us.

LORD, REVIVE US AGAIN!

Let this be more than a September to remember. Let it be a revival that transforms Evergreen MBC, our families, our community,
and everyone we encounter. LORD, when You revive us, keep the fire burning. In the strong and mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
