Berea Christian Church

Berea Christian Church A friendly, loving Christian Church leading families to Christ. Learn about our service today! With God anything is possible. We invite you to come and join us.

Since 1845 Berea Christian Church has been community of faith rooted in the love of God. Our purpose is to encourage people to have a transformational relationship with Jesus. The church is a unique community: It invites all people, and still loves us in spite of our shortcomings. But the church loves us enough not to let us languish in our sins but encourages us to become all that God intends us

to be. Our Sunday worship and weekly bible study services are geared to worshippers of all ages. Coming together as a community strengthens and guides us in our daily life. For those who wish to join us, our congregation is always waiting with open hearts. There is a special place for you at Berea Christian Church.

God loves you! You’re His child, and He wants to bless you and be with you forever. He loves you so much, He died on a horrible cross to pay for your sins. And He loves you so much, He’ll pursue you like a “hound of heaven.”
If you’ve never asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, He’s pursuing you. And if you’re a Christian who’s become distracted or derailed, He’s pursuing you.
You and your family are invited to join us as we remind ourselves of the reality of “The Hound of Heaven.” Is He pursuing you?

Seeing God in Creation from Romans 1:12 (NLT) "For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God."

Happy Mother's Day!
The Lord surely blessed us when He created mothers. Many of us are convinced God gave us the best “Mother of the Year!” The Bible talks about many mothers, some who fell short and some who were amazing. This Sunday, we’ll look at some of the more memorable mothers in the Bible.
You and your family are invited to join us as we thank the Lord and honor our “Mother of the Year.”
Text:
Proverbs 31:11-31 “A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praises her: 29 “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. 31 Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”

"Yield" from Romans 6:12-14
Yield signs. We see them every day, but aggressive drivers don’t always yield! The Bible talks about yielding to God and to others. But what does that mean? How do we do it? And what are the results? There’s a powerful message for us!
You and your family are invited to join us as we consider what it means to spiritually “Yield.”
Text:
Roman 6:12-14 (KJV) “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”
