When your babies are born, there is overwhelming gratitude that the parent or grandparent feels because their baby has arrived in the world healthy and safe. You want to hold them and show them off the bat that they are loved. A tender loving peck on the lips is warming and beautiful. IT'S NOT A KISS! It's a peck.

In their innocence, connectivity, belonging, and bonding, they should experience it at a young age. If you are questioning it, the possibility you have not experienced it as a baby or a young child. For that, I apologize because it's a warming connection a child feels when their parent grand pecks them on the lips. It warms the child's heart and gives them a sense of belonging that every child should experience at a young age.

When you show continual affection as the child grows up, that affection affirms they are loved. Again it's a peck and not a kiss; that should be a better question. The word kiss is associated with s*x and should not be mentioned or even associated with kids.

However, whatever way you started connecting with your babies, they look for that affection from you. As the parent or grandparent tells them and shows them other ways as they are growing, that child will connect to being loved and understand they are loved, and some may still want the peck, and some grow out of it.

As an adult, I can remember leaving my mom and giving her peck on the lips goodbye a few times. The same connectivity and warmth I felt as a child I felt like an adult, and it brought me back to the love my mom showed as a child, and I appreciated it even more as an adult.

To my point, I peck my babies because I know where my lips have been, and there is No Activity going on with my lips that will harm my babies, and if and when I marry, and any activities change, I will no longer peck them.
