A little news update for our Kingdom Women...
Hello Kingdom Women!
What a beautiful summer it is turning out to be. Despite a very challenging spring with COVID-19 we are so blessed here in Central Maine to once again see children on playgrounds, people at lakes and beaches as well as those needing to be at home receive lots of connectivity opportunities through social media outlets and our weekly live stream. The Father certainly knew of this beforehand and had our Kingdom Life Community well prepared. I expect it has been a time of challenges, joys, sorrows, and maybe even for some grief and frustration. However, as Kingdom Women we can stand amidst it all and say, “God is with her… she will not be moved!” (Ps 46:5)
As I think back over the year it’s hard to believe that the last time we as Kingdom Women were all together was at the Emerge Conference March 13th. God so faithfully allowed us that window of opportunity to gather and be inspired by one another before our world as we knew it seemed to shut down for a season. I am awed as I think of so many powerful messages that weekend and especially our closing message from Tiffany Lane specifically to mothers of all ages… God knew this season would be remarkable for moms as schools closed and families would need a strong heart in the home. Young moms would need their mom’s and spiritual mom’s and community Grammies and Nanas to step in for support. God Knew! And God Provided! I am also grateful for technology that helped us all stay connected and even more grateful that we are once again meeting together to worship the Lord each weekend as a community. We are certainly the Apple of God’s eye! (Ps 17:8)
Like for many of us, this past season has been one of reflection and a renewed intimacy with the Lord. It has given us opportunity to realign and reassess the things that are upon His heart for us individually and also as a ministry. On a personal note, I have been reflecting of the faithfulness and goodness of God. I have had the honor of caring for and pastoring the women of Kingdom Life Church for more than six years. In January of 2014 just as KLC was about to celebrate its first birthday I shared with Pastor Jamie how the Lord asked me to spearhead a movement for the women of this community. We agreed and In obedience and with a heart to serve the Kingdom, Jamie and Shannon and this community, I said Yes Lord! He gave me a clear vision and mandate; “To see the fulfillment and manifestation of the dream in God’s heart and His immeasurable love for every woman He created…that this love and His dreams for her would be a gift to her, abide within her and flow through her.”
Over the past six years I have been humbled at every turn as we have watched the dynamic growth of KW both in numbers, destiny, and maturity all by the grace and goodness of the Father. We’ve provided opportunities for Biblical studies, monthly social gatherings, and mentoring opportunities. With the strong direction of the Lord we established the Emerge Conferences to see women in our midst be empowered and release into their callings and destinies. This was followed by the fall Emerge Refresher Breakfasts, this years date is still to be determined, so stay tuned! We have celebrated the Annual Women’s Christmas Party, enjoyed paint nights, mom’s prayer gatherings and an endearing ministry to our expectant mom’s called Kindred Hands. We had a bumper crop in late 2019 and early 2020 and are expecting three more precious little ones before the end of the year. We are so blessed with family! We have seen powerful opportunities for inner healing through both Freedom Encounter and Renew Groups and so much more. God has been so good to us.
During this season of personal reflection I have felt the strong nudging of the Lord that the time has come to pass the oversight and leadership baton of Kingdom Women to another. Pastor Jamie recently spoke on “Authenticity”. What a powerful and freeing place to be and where we should all want to stand. Since last fall I have been feeling a shifting not only in my heart but in my season of leadership as the Pastor and Director of Kingdom Women. I began to ask the Father for ‘the one’ who He might call to build upon the foundation that He has so gracefully worked with us to build in this ministry.
As many of you know my husband Greg and I serve as Elders here at KLC and have been part of this ministry since its beginning. In 2013 we sold our home in Southern Maine and we heard the Father simply say… “Go help, love and support Jamie and Shannon”. In obedience we put our house on the market and it sold in less than 5 hours and the rest is history. KLC is home to us and we love our community. Unfortunately in recent years Greg’s work has been requiring more and more that he be away from home for long stretches at a time. The time apart and my travel back and forth has become more challenging especially with the recent need to tend to elderly parents who live at a distance. However, God’s timing is so AMAZING! Ps 31:15 says, “At the right time God will provide your need” and He certainly has!
After much prayer and conversations with Pastor Jamie, Elders and Pastor Dustin, we are thrilled and excited to announce that Lisa Krout will be stepping in as the new Director of Kingdom Women. Lisa has been part of our KW leadership team for the past 18 months. She has served so faithfully and is a woman of great discretion and honor. She has been one of our Emerge Speakers and comes with a strong passion and heart for women of all generations, team-building, discipleship, teaching the Word and prayer. We are so excited to see what the Lord is going to build and release through her strong leadership.
From the depths of my heart thank you for all of your support and prayers over the past six years and as the Kingdom Women’s lead team we appreciate your continuing prayers through this transition. We are truly excited and honored to be part of this ministry and part of your lives. Eph 3:20 says “God is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” We are so expectant!
Wholeheartedly and with so much gratitude,
Lise Roseberry
