The Sunday Night Service has closed to make way for our next iteration, which is St. Lucy's Episcopal Church in Oakland, CA. Come by! Sundays at 5p at St.

Paul's Episcopal Church at Lake Merritt.

This Saturday night, May 11th, at 7:30p at All Souls Episcopal Parish in Berkeley, will headline a concert opened by , , and . It’s a free concert, but you can make a donation to the event if you’re feeling it (through the Eventbrite page https://www.eventbrite.com/e/be-still-concert-audrey-assad-tickets-858518972357?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl).

The night will feature music and story, through song, of the journeys of faith these four musicians have traveled. You can read more about the artists on the Eventbrite page and can learn more about what we’re hoping to build from this night on our new site, neweastbaychurch.org.

All are welcome to the Westbrae Biergarten for drinks and dinner tomorrow evening (9/27) from 6-8p. This month we’ll be discussing an article from the Christian Century about the future of Christianity. It’s short 😏and you can find it in our link in bio.

This Wednesday (7/26) we’re moving our regular last Wednesday of the month beer garden hang out to All Souls in Berkeley where we’ll have a watch party to see the new (and not quite widely released) film .

The film dives into the story of the translation of the word “homosexual” and how this particular word entered the Bible. We’ll have a short discussion following the movie and then for anyone who wants to stick around afterwards to watch the play the Netherlands, well, I’m down 😎.

6-8p downstairs (near the Chapel) . BYO dinner. We’ll have some drinks for y’all.

Dear friends, the Sunday Night Service is going to take a summer break! We believe in sabbath and that it is, in the words of Walter Brueggemann, an act of resistance to our culture of consumption and production. You can read more on our blog about this decision and about what’s to come. We will keep our beer garden hang outs for the summer (the last Wednesday of every month) and we’ll have a return of the Storytelling Dinner in August. Stay tuned for more!

Tomorrow, May 31st, we’re back at for our last Wednesday of the month hang out. This time around we’re reading an essay by a local Anglican theologian, Dr. Scott MacDougall, about the theology of the body. And! He’s going to join us in the discussion! 6-8p ish. Anyone is welcome.
