Words of Encouragement from the Pastor
Looking to Jesus
“I will lift mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil, he shall preserve thou soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and forever more.”
Psalm 121: 1-2, 7-8
The Lord promises to keep and protect us. And, He cannot lie.
He does not promise the absence of failure or pain, but he does promise that in the midst
of adversity and trouble, He will protect and keep His children. Because of His sacrifice and
suffering on Calvary, today we have the confidence and assurance that He will forever keep and
protect us. As saved believers, it is our duty to continue to be thankful, remain dependent
on Him alone, and continuously plead for His sustaining grace.
No matter what comes, God gives us full assurance that He is the everlasting God and
Creator of all the world. He does not faint or grow weary. He is ALWAYS AWAKE,
ALWAYS AWARE, and ALWAYS WATCHING His children!
This Sunday, let us all focus on Christ’s GREAT sacrifice for us on Calvary’s hill where He gave
His life to save sinners like you and me. At such a time, Christ was so gracious and merciful
as to take time out to deliver one of the thieves into Paradise because he believed.
What GRACE! What MERCY! What an AWESOME God we serve!
As true Christians, it is required of us to remain mindful of the unrepayable price He paid for us, to continue to look
towards the hills from whence comes our help, to remain forever THANKFUL to God that Jesus did not
stay dead, but early on a Sunday morning, He got up for all humanity, with ALL POWER in His hands!
He did what no one else could do. He saved us and redeemed us to God, our Father!!
Happy Resurrection Sunday!
