This weekend Jesus teaches his disciples how to handle sin and conflict within the community. He advises going to the person privately first to point out the fault. If they do not listen, bring one or two witnesses, and then the church if necessary.

New this year is a Friday Casino Night! Come on out and try your luck!

Details here: Teens welcome. Entrance Fee is $20. Receive a voucher equaling $3,000 in chips.

Go to a gaming table to turn in the voucher for gaming chips.

Play games until 8:30 p.m. Turn in your chips for tickets at a gaming table. For every $1,000 you cash in at the table, you will receive 1 ticket for prize drawings. Write your name on the back of the ticket and keep the other half.

Decide which prize(s) you are interested in winning and place your signed ticket(s) in the respective prize boxes. At 9:00 p.m. the prize drawing will begin with one ticket drawn out of each prize box. Winners must be present to claim the prize.

In this weekends powerful gospel, Jesus tells his disciples that following him requires denying themselves, taking up their cross, and losing their life for his sake to truly find it. The cross is often made of humility, self-sacrifice and obedience. True and everlasting joy comes from surrendering our selfish ways and trusting completely in God’s love.
