The ROCK Youth & Family Center is a non-profit organization that was built to provide a place for the youth & families of Oakdale and its surrounding communities to grow and learn in a Christ centered facility, that looks to make a difference in the lives of our members, our community, & our world. We provide a place for youth & adults alike to be nurtured and loved as Christ would love them. Our
after-school program runs from the first day of school (following West Allegheny’s school calendar) until late May, giving youth a safe alternative space to hang out, with the guidance of our wonderful volunteers and staff. Here, youth can play in our gym, grab a quick snack in our cafe', do homework, enjoy our pool tables, or just get together with friends. Cost is $350 ($175 per semester) per child for the entire school year! In the summer, we are open for day camp! 8 weeks of great fun, themed weeks, and great staff. Elementary age children enjoy weeks of fascinating and engaging activities and the care of close knit family Christian atmosphere where friendships are made for a lifetime. The cost is $125 per week per child for full time and $75 per week per child for part time (1-2 days/week). We also host special events in our facility for the community, such as the Oakdale Borough Light Up Night and the 4th of July Parade. The ROCK annually puts on a huge meal and display for Veterans every November, A Christmas WA Show Choir concert in December, etc.
