Oakdale Rescue Mission

Oakdale Rescue Mission Coming together to help one another! It works! "Hope for the Heart" has changed it's name to Oakdale Rescue Mission.

We provide several meals each Thursday at 12:30 at the "Skate Park," a lunch/dinner at 3:30pm at the house at 131 W G Street, and Sunday at 12:30pm at 131 W G Street, Oakdale. We are striving to broaden our services to providing more meals, clothing, shelter and direction to those who would like to take advantage of improving their lives. Tonight we were blessed by Valley First Credit Union with the Wes Hall Grant. We are so very thankful that were we accepted to receive these funds as we will be able to replace a couple of freezers!! Attending their meeting tonight, I was very impressed at how much Valley First gives back to our communities ♥️

What an awesome day spent with the amazing people from Life Community Church and some of our Oakdale Rescue Mission friends! We got so much accomplished! Lots of gravel was spread, leaves raked and gotten rid of, rugs cleaned, clothes separated for our clothes bin, our side yard was cleaned out and so much stuff was taken to the garbage bins… We were so blessed today. I can’t thank the people of Life Community Church and my ORM friends that showed up today enough.

UPDATE: I would like to thank all the generous people who have stopped by to drop off dog food or who have sent dog food to Oakdale Rescue Mission! We have enough to get us through a month! You guys rock!!! ♥️

The Oakdale rescue mission is once again accepting clothing donations. Thank you so much for your support of this worthy cause!

The items that we need at this time are men’s jeans or sturdy pants, shorts, sneakers, undergarments, T-shirts and women’s jeans, shorts, sneakers and undergarments.

Items that we CAN NOT use are soiled/torn clothing, dress slacks, button-down shirts, polo shirts, dressy tops, and clothing with suggestive slogans or alcohol and drug references.

UPDATE: we have found a safe place for the dog!

One of my friends from Oakdale Rescue Mission is being admitted into the hospital and has a dog that needs to be fostered. It is a male healer named bandit. He has all his shots and we have records of them. He is not good with other dogs and not sure if he’s good with children. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to take on this dog until we find a place for him while she is in the hospital? Please private message me if you are able to. Thank you!
