Today, we say thank you.

For the work you do, day in and day out.
For the steadiness, the patience, and the care you give, even when it goes unnoticed.
For every woman who mothers, in families, in friendships, in quiet, everyday ways.
And we’re grateful for the example of Mary, our Mother, who shows us what faithful love looks like.

We don’t always say it, but we are always grateful.

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Another yearly knight Knights of Columbus event done. We purchased and with several council 200 bags.

BACKGROUND:

Father Derek Gilde (our FY 2023 4th Degree Chalice Recipient) and Fr Martin Chouinard, who is from the Hartford, CT archdiocese, when they were both seminarians at our St Paul Seminary, came to the Stillwater Blessed Solanus Casey Council meeting in May of 2023 and presented their proposal. Fr Martin brought the "Brian" bag" idea from his home archdiocese. A parishioner at the Hartford Cathedral, who Fr Martin knew, lost her brother (Brian) to life on the streets, and after he died, she wanted to do something for the homeless to let them know God loves them. She came up with “Brian” bags, and it has become a meaningful ministry in the Hartford archdiocese. We locally have done this activity for the last two years, and it has been a well enjoyed, wonderful event. The seminarians use the "Brian Bags" mainly when visiting the homeless on the way to their teaching parishes.
