WE'RE A SMALL CHURCH, WITH A BIG HEART, AND HAVE ROOM FOR YOU! We are a member congregat

ion in the Saint Paul Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). With nearly 3.3 million members across the 50 states and in the Caribbean region, the ELCA is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States. We believe in a loving God who is present and active in the world for the sake of the life of creation and all people. We believe that we are not what we have done or what has been done to us; we are who God says we are: beloved. We believe that we are freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor, as God in Christ loves us. We are grateful to be your neighbor, and would be delighted to get to know you and walk the road of faith with you. Please contact the church office if you have any questions, prayer concerns, or would like to visit with the pastor. You are also invited and welcomed to worship with us any Sunday morning at 9:30--in person or online. May the peace of Christ be with you always.

*The Christian Ed Hour--which includes adult and youth faith formation--runs during the program year, September through May.

Last Wednesday, I shared in a congregational email that our brother in Christ, Ron Trumble, died early in the morning on Monday, May 18. My heart is heavy because I grieve all the pain and difficulty he endured while living with brain cancer. And yet, my heart is also hopeful, because of Jesus the Christ who in dying destroyed death, and who in rising raised us to new life. A life, we are promised, in which mourning and crying and pain will be no more. Indeed, a life in which death will be no more. (Revelation 21:4) May it be so!

Ron's daughter, Jess, has set up a GoFundMe to help cover cremation and essential funeral expenses. If you wish to contribute in honor of Ron and in support of Jess and her family, please visit the attached link. Thank you!

Sunday Worship - 24 May 2026
Day of Pentecost
Service of Holy Communion

INTRODUCTION TO THE DAY
Pentecost derives its name from the Jewish festival celebrating the harvest and the giving of the law on Mount Sinai fifty days after Passover. Fifty days after Easter, we celebrate the Holy Spirit as God's presence within and among us. In Acts the Spirit arrives in rushing wind and flame, bringing God's presence to all people. Paul reminds us that though we each have different capacities, we are unified in the Spirit that equips us with these gifts. Jesus breathes the Holy Spirit on his disciples, empowering them to forgive sin. We celebrate that we too are given the breath of the Holy Spirit and sent out to proclaim God's redeeming love to all the world.

Sunday Worship - 17 May 2026
Seventh Sunday of Easter
Service of Holy Communion

INTRODUCTION TO THE DAY
In these days between Ascension and Pentecost, we gather with the disciples in the upper room, waiting for the Spirit to transform the church around the world. In today's gospel Jesus prays for his followers and for their mission in his name. Amid religious, social, and economic divisions, we seek the unity that Jesus had with his Father. Made one in baptism, we go forth to live our faith in the world, eager for the unity that God intends for the whole human family.
