We are here on this earth but for a short time. Few in life ever discover their purpose; Dolly Parton is one who did. From a child she and others discovered her voice and her passion for signing and performing. As her life and career unfolded into a larger platform she never forgot where she came from and she never neglected the one who gave her the gift and platform to display the gift, Jesus!
Through her life she honored her Lord and Savior. She was always quick to help when disaster struck; like Jesus, she sought to undo, loosen, and destroy the work the devil did through disaster by donating millions to help victims rebuild their lives and homes.
So many things can be shared and will be shared about her many generous acts; she honored God and her neighbor with her voice, her actions, and her resources.
She demonstrated what it meant to be a disciple of Jesus!
