As we sit amid the lull between Christmas and the New Year, here are some photos to remind us of some of the special services and events of the FUMC Music Ministry in December. Each person in these photos brings their own unique gifts and personality as we rehearse and sing. It is an honor to witness the love shared by all these people—a love that fills each of them so much that it erupts into the music they make and seeps into the souls of each person who hears them. Here's to making more music, more memories, and more love together in 2026!

All our ensembles have rehearsed and are ready to welcome you to FUMC tomorrow, Sunday, December 7 at 7pm, as we present a service of Nine Lessons & Carols! Come experience the retelling of the birth of Christ through readings and music for choir, handbells, organ, and brass. You'll get your chance to join the choir for a night by singing along with the congregational carols! This service is free and open to the public. Livestreaming will be available.

On Sunday, December 7 at 7pm, the FUMC Music Ministry will present a service of Nine Lessons & Carols. Kick off your December right by coming to enjoy music of the season for choir, handbells, organ, and brass. This service is free and open to the public and livestreaming will be available.

Ever considered joining the FUMC Music Ministry, but don't want to sing every Sunday? Then handbells are for you! Come enjoy time getting to know some new people and learn about handbells from our Choirmaster, Josh, as well as some of our experienced ringers.

Meet in the sanctuary at 12:00p.m. after the traditional service on Sunday, October 26.

Better late than never - Choir Boot Camp 2025 was a success! The choral groups of FUMC came together a couple weekends ago to kickoff our choral season by getting to know each other and getting a head start on some of our music. Join us in worship to be blessed by their hard work!

Another big change to the schedule this year is for the children's choir. This choir for music-makers in grades K - 5 will now meet on Wednesday evenings at 4:30 p.m. There is also a NEW ROOM that is being remade to give them their own space to learn and make music together. Expanded opportunities for older kids (aka boys who think singing with girls is icky) to play instruments will also be available! If you miss rehearsal, don't worry - your singer can still learn the music during a very brief lesson in Sunday School each Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

In order to better meet the needs of our congregation, our youth choir will now be accepting young adults! We know life is getting busy for students and young professionals, so we hope this limited schedule will be better for our youth and 20-somethings...and even 30-somethings. 😉
We'd love to see you every 1st and 3rd Sunday at 8:45am and 10:00am for the early service followed by a rehearsal. Contact Josh Sumter ([email protected]) for more info.
