Happy Mother’s Day from ORBC 💐

Today we’re reminded of the widow in 1 Kings 17 — a woman whose fears, doubts, and idols were brought to the surface through the Lord’s refining work. When her faith faltered, God remained faithful. What He revealed, He also redeemed.

Again and again, the Lord shows that His provision and purposes exceed our own strength and understanding… and that is good.

Mothers know what it means to pour out, to carry burdens, and to walk through weary seasons. But the God who sustained the widow is the same God who still sustains His people today. His mercy does not fail when our faith grows weak, and His refining work is never without purpose.

Today we thank God for the mothers and women who faithfully point others to Christ through every season of life. The Lord sees every unseen sacrifice, every prayer, and every act of steadfast love.

“And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD…” — 1 Kings 17:16 KJV

Summit Month has officially come to a close! April was a special month of intentional spiritual focus as our teen girls and teen boys gathered separately to hear from key speakers and dive into important topical issues relevant to their lives and faith.

We hope this month has been both meaningful and memorable—filled with unique themes, shared meals, fun moments, and, most importantly, deep biblical truth. Our prayer is that each teen grew in their relationship with the Lord, gained new perspective, and felt encouraged in their walk of faith.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Summit Month such a rich and impactful experience. We’re grateful for all God has done and excited for what’s ahead!
