In the ORUUC Gallery This Spring: Paintings by Rickey Beene (1953-2019)

Rickey Beene was a beloved member of ORUUC, who lived his entire life in nearby Petros, but in the breadth of his mind, he traveled the world and savored its many ages and ideas. A woodsman, Rickey loved the trees and mountains, the contours and colors of this land, and celebrated its beauty in his poetry and in his art. After a brief stint as a correctional officer, Rickey taught American Literature and World History at Wartburg Central High School for many years. Read more about Rickey and find yourself captivated by these large, colorful works by visiting ORUUC.

The ORUUC Gallery is open to the public Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays.
