Join us for the 8th Sunday of Pentecost this Sunday at 9:30am.

It is an age-old question: why is there evil in the world? In the parable of the wheat and the weeds Jesus suggests that both grow together until the harvest. With Paul, we long for the day that all creation will be set free from bo***ge and suffering. Having both weeds and wheat within us, we humbly place our hope in the promises of God, and from the Lord’s table we go forth to bear the fruit of justice and mercy.

This Sunday, worship will be led by Harpe Diem, a harp quartet that includes Good Shepherd member Linda Fisher. Much of the music comes from the community of Taize in France, including meditative songs "Come and Fill Our Hearts," "In God Alone," "In the Lord I'll Be Ever Thankful," and "Bless the Lord, My Soul." Good Shepherd is seeking help with our kitchen ministry!

Duties include: washing dishes, removing and discarding any old food items from the refrigerator, informing the office of any supplies that need to be replenished, tidying up the counters.

These tasks should take approximately 1 hour and could be to be managed by one person, couple, or household each week and can be done on your schedule. Sign up for a shift this Sunday!
