Today we celebrate Juneteenth — a day that marks freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward justice for all people. 🕊️

At First Baptist Church, we are proud to be a diverse congregation, united not in spite of our differences, but because of them. We believe that the body of Christ reflects every color, culture, and story — and that our strength as a church grows from welcoming all who walk through our doors.

Today and every day, we stand committed to building a community where everyone belongs.

What a joy-filled Sunday at First Baptist Church of Oak Park! 🎶 Our Spring Choir Concert filled the sanctuary with jubilant praise, we celebrated our June birthdays during fellowship hour, and our congregation came together to assemble dinners for Housing Forward clients. Grateful for a community that worships, celebrates, and serves together! 🙏❤️

Bring a box. Change a life. 💛 Our Community Diaper Drive runs all June — drop off new and unused diapers every Saturday, 9 AM–Noon, at First Baptist Church, 820 Ontario St, Oak Park (West Entrance). We are collecting sizes newborn to 6. Let’s show the families in our community that they’re not alone!

Please join us on Friday, May 22, for AANHPI Heritage Month Movie Night. We will be screening “Bride and Prejudice,” a Bollywood rendition (in English) of Jane Austen’s classic tale, where Mrs. Bakshi is eager to find suitable husbands for her five unmarried daughters. When the rich, single gentlemen Balraj and Mr. Darcy come to live nearby, the Bakshis have high hopes, though circumstance and boorish opinions threaten to get in the way of romance. Cocktail samosas will be served 😋✨
