Oak Lawn Community High School is proud to announce that twelve students have earned College Board Recognition, a national academic honor that celebrates high-achieving students and helps them showcase their accomplishments on college applications.

Students can earn recognition based on their performance on AP Exams and/or PSAT assessments. The program highlights outstanding achievement through awards such as the First-Generation Recognition Award, Rural and Small-Town Recognition Award, and School Recognition Award.

Five OLCHS students received the First-Generation Recognition Award:
Halaena Allyson Cielos, Natalia Gorlicka, Cassidy Perry, Mohammed BenGabr, and Zain Mousa.

Eleven students received the School Recognition Award:
Mahmoud Abbasi, Abdulrab BenGabr, Mohammed BenGabr, Ara Mae Cabral, Halaena Allyson Cielos, Yusr Elameer, Zain Mousa, Cassidy Perry, Evan Thacker, Logan Thacker, and Abella Vu.

Counselor Jason Rhodes shared, “We’re very proud of these students, and their recognition by the College Board validates their academic tenacity and discipline in the classroom. These honors represent a significant milestone in their pursuit of excellence and serve as a powerful signal to universities across the country of their readiness to succeed.”
